Small bottle brought back for me by my sister. Dark brown with a mocha head that fades to a nice ring around the glass. Huge hit of espresso but with some sugar, bit of lactose, artificial vanilla, some roasted malt. Mild carbonation, moderate- body, sweet (like sweetner), light, little dry on the finish.

Pours a dark brown color with a nice sized frothy brown head. Aroma of sweet vanilla, espresso, roast malts and a creamy latte type smell. Taste is sweet dark chocolate, Vanilla, coffee. Overall impression of this beer is a sweet coffee dessert beer. Works well for what it is but but likely works best when consumed after dinner.

Pours a very dark reddish brown colour that let’s little to no light through and has a big initial light brown head that fades to a thin spotty covering. Aroma is strong coffee mocha like a sweet liqueur that seems a little artificial, vanilla and some roasted malts are present. Overall it is an appealing Aroma. Flavour is espresso, mocha, dark coco, vanilla, moderate sweetness, some roasted malts, dry, watery and thin bodied.

Bottiglia: really very dark amber coloured, some reddish sparks visible, small tanned foamy layer, sweetish coffeeish-roasty nose, moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; slightly lingering and a bit drier roasty-coffeish finish. Not bad, but way too sweet…

Weich herb und röstig malziger Antrunk. Die Röstigkeit steigt nur leicht, deutliche Kaffeenoten sind präsent. Bitterschokokade, harmonisch, zum Ende schwächer. Würzig, süffig, gut. 8/11/11/12/12/12

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer, nose is reach on coffee, dark chocolate and dark malt notes. Aroma is on dark coffee, dark chocolate, even light smoked notes, good creamy body, hints of barrel aged beer, quite complex for 6°, good beer.

Just on cool and into a snifter. Cola brown in the shallows but black otherwise. Tannish head is loose and shortlived . Initial burst of roasted hazelnut and walnut on the nose, later releasing so much mocha, lightly roasted coffee beans, charred carob, vanilla and decadent chocolate -comes away as being well sultry and seductive. ...., and that is where it ends. Thin, bitter and rather disappointing in the mouth. Bordering acrid with a burnt coffee bean bitterness and blitzing astringency. Watery, raw, powdery cocoa, carob and something chemical that lingers long. What a party pooper. It was bearable, but such a let down. (33cL, no date stamp, Cellarbrations WIndsor)

Nice coffee nose. Pale brown head. Dark black brownish color. Coffee and malt and fruitiness in the taste. Mild hops. Some hints of cacao too.

AROMA: coffee, coffee, mocca APPEARANCE: black, brown foam, TASTE: medium sweetness, lightly bitter, PALATE: medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, abrupt finish OVERALL: too sweet, more a coffee-flavoured milkshake than a beer, but quite a nice milkshake. Lacks any depth beyond creamy coffee though.
