Thanks to Seanyfo. Dark in the glass with beige head. Nice thick aroma with stout-typical slightly sourness. The beer itself starts dark, aromatic. Nicely roasted, very dry. The mainpart is slightly flowery, nice, balanced, not too thick. The aftertaste is long, roasted, dry, slightly sour and highly drinkable!
--> very nice stout! Aromatic and also suitable as a session beer!

Smoky, marmite like aroma. Appears black with brown thin head. Big citrussy mouthfeel, logger than expected. Burnt , light flavours toward back of the mouth. Big bubbly mouthfeel but leaves the tongue and palate wanting a little more substance.

Pours an opaque black with a medium sized creamy tan head and great legs. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate and a touch of coffee. Great velvety, creamy mouthfeel, flavour is sweet roasted malts, dark chocolate, velvety oats, and a mild roasted malt bitterness.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A decent enough stout, thin body, slight sourness, even at 4.5% I was expecting more. I’m not sure about the complex roast malts and I wouldn’t describe it as mysterious & compelling, just OK.

Bottle, shared with Grippitis. Dark brown, beige head. A lovely rounded soft mouthfeel, hard roast and oats, finishes with a mild bitterness. A wonderful silky session stout, terrific use of the oats here. Very well made.

Bottle from B&M. Nice dark body with short lasting cream head. Pleanty of coffee on the nose. Rather a sour taste. Earthy coffee flavours. Not a great stout.

500ml brown bottle. Dark brown pour with some dark orange highlights showing through when held up to the light. Head is large and beige with a very creamy bead. Nose has mild roast, toast and chocolate. Taste has bitter chocolate and oats and faint roast. Light and soft finish, dry, not much aftertaste, just a bit of chocolate malt, low bitterness. Medium body and creamy texture in the mouth. Much better than expected, a good oat stout.
