bottle from Aldi came to us to support Burns night , light ground hoppy aroma, brown, clear, white foam, medium bitterness, light sweetness, and peaty finish just like Stotch Whisky...just a bit but intense and nicemedium body, slick feel, long finish, good drinkable beer as always from TSA

Aroma is roasty malts, caramel, light oak and earthy hops. Taste is quite pale but it is smooth roasted malts with a well balanaced hop profile. Finishes flat however. Appearance is a clear brown with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

On cask at the White Lady. Appearance - deep amber with a nice head. Nose - toffee and light chocolate. Light biscuit too. Taste - caramel shortbread. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - fairly rich and fairly refreshing. Good.

500 ml bottle with a new label but still listing 4.5% ABV. BB date of April 2016 (1 year away). Accurately described on the label as "Slightly sweet and malty taste with a hint of toffee." Sweet and malty but, given this, the balance seems good, no defects, but limited complexity. Improved with warming.
