joey_capps (1464), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Aug 13, 2008 Clear amber w/ a few gray bubbles. Sweet aroma w/ some fusel notes. syrupy feel. Sweet flavour of caramel & brown sugar w/ an extremely intense, malt liquor-like alcohol presence. MrManning (1450), London, Ontario, Canada May 2, 2008 200 ml bottle- Deep brown liquid letting some light in, pours an off white one finger of foam. Nose is very strong spices and port wine with licorice and deep rooted Belgian candy sugar and wine gums. Lots of booze too. Tastes of sweet port wine with clove and peat. Mid way, there is very sweet alcoholic Belgian candy sugar and caramel leading to a very big and boozey sweet malt finish. This is a sipper, but I enjoyed the time I spent sipping on it. Cartoon_khaki (1119), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Apr 13, 2008 I feel kind of funny drinking a beer called Korruptor with biohazard signs all over the label; is this okay???
Dark brown golden colour with no head and no lacing. Aroma is thick with caramel malts and nothing else that is all to discerning, and over fermented yeast like a roasted hunk of wheat bread. Flavour is thick with alcohol and caramel malts. Palate is thick like syrup. I won’t be wanting this anymore unless someone gives it to me. JoeMcPhee (3807), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Apr 8, 2008 200 ml bottle at Volo. I guess I’m going against the grain on this one. Clean bright honeyed-amber colour. Very low carbonation. Aroma is quite nutty and lightly oxidized. Softly sherryish character over honey-dipped almond and a sweet toasty nuttiness. Flavour is very clean and rich... sweet and nutty with a lovely richness and a soft palate. Warming brings up a honey character, almonds and soft toasted malts. Nice bitterness balances the sweetness but it’s still a sweet rich tasting brew. mabel (1662), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 6, 2008 [852-20071124] 200mL. Boozy floral aroma base has something like grainy heather lurking nearby. Slightly hazy, dark amber orange body with quick white bubbles. Booooozy grainy sherry-like flavour has a little burnt caramel and funky licorice yeast. Thick full body is all muddled in booze. Considering the percentage and the confusion it causes (literally and tastily), it is not that bad when you get past the floral -- in fact, it would probably do well with some strong cheese.
