daniel0017 (231), Ontario, Canada Sep 16, 2007 650mL bottle: Clear dark brown body and slight tan bubbly head. Aroma is sweet with heavy malt presence, no maple as would be expected, inoffensive but bland. Flavor is bordering on horrid. Infused maple with malts and no discernable hops make for disaster. Palate is equally disturbing and very astringent.
HogTownHarry (3175), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Mar 15, 2008 Bottle (650ml). Semi-gusher ... deep clear burnt copper, huge fluffy lasting beige head. Ergh ... dry, sour, lemon and paper aroma, there’s sweet roast under there somewhere, but it doesn’t make me want to drink it. Incredibly sour taste - swear to god, this is boozy lemon juice, not beer - gawd, screw this - these guys suck. Just avoid this crap. Boutip (1745), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Oct 1, 2007 Bottle: Poured a deep burgundy color bock with a small foamy head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma is intensely sweet with an overabundance of primary sugar. Taste is cloying with way too much sweetness – totally gross and a drain pour. I can’t really understand what they try to do here but this is definitely the worst maple beer I had and I had some pretty bad one previously. radiomgb (1730), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Aug 26, 2007 Muddy brown in colour, thin but lingering beige coloured head, some lacing, very fizzy. The aroma is very sour, mildly sweet, no bock like characteristics. The flavour is again sour, tangy, some citrus, not overly malty, no maple to be found. Sour mouthfeel, thin body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes sour, thin, lingering. I believe its called "Quality Control."

bu11zeye (3628), Frisco, Texas, USA Aug 20, 2007 (650ml bottle) Pours a murky reddish-brown body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of cola, mustiness, and sour. Flavor of sweet, some citrus, occasional burst of sweet tart sourness; tastes more like a Flemish sour, but I would have to say this is infected. Get no maple syrup upfront...but get after in warms up. Unbalanced; all over the place with the aroma and flavor.
