yarry (349), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Apr 28, 2008 650ml bottle, 5.0% a/v
Very bubbly copper with an almost non existant tan head. Aroma is malty, citrus hops, and a bit floral. Taste is sweet malt, with a bit of a hop taste and the already mentioned citrus. Very quick afterfaste, but then a strange aftertaste which is barely there but lingers.
One of Trafalgars better beers for sure.
gilvanblight (322), Windsor, Ontario, Canada Jul 20, 2008 Rusty orange pour with a bubbly head. Warm slightly spicey scent. Really nice taste malty and spicey. A bit flowery. Nice low carbonation. A good balance with a dry finish. Eructoblaster (1232), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 11, 2008 Bottle - 650ml. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white frothy head. Decent hoppy aroma with some apple and grapefruit hints. Its hoppy taste lacks complexity and strength, and finish is short. Good, but nothing to get too excited about. Lubiere (3146), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 24, 2008 A nice amber ale with a thick light moka head. A pleasant vanilla aroma, with little acid points. In mouth, rye malt with light oaken wood notes, dry, medium bodied. A good beer for Trafalgar. Bought at LCBO, Ottawa. DougShoemaker (2553), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 11, 2008 Spicy nose, with some orange hops and a faint rye too, copper, small custard head, a bit of lace. Light taste of rye, mild malt also. Light bodied, balanced, spicy, dry, not too hard to drink. Interesting. pintbypint (877), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada May 26, 2008 650ml brown bottle. Pours golden, hazy. Very large foamy off white head. Aroma is light lemons, faint floral notes. Flavour is also lemony and a touch grassy. Moderate bitterness that hangs around for a while. Some woody dryness. Not getting much rye. Medium body with a lot of carbonation. Not what I was expecting.
