It was a beautiful dark amber color with a compact head of small nitro bubbles. But there wasn’t much aroma at all, I’m not sure if this was because of the nitro, but all I could get was a faint malt aroma. The flavor was decent, not very hoppy not very malty, or caramelly, its sweet with a faint banana ester there. It has a good mouthfeel, with that silky nitro body. It wasn’t a bad beer just not too exciting. 11026 (1772), Alabama, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 24, 2004 Nitro tap. Crystal clear, deep amber color with prototypical nitro head. Aroma is subdued malt, guessing crystal. Slightly sweet and caramel. Flavor is decent but underwhelms. Malt predominates with a sweet taste, modest hopping noticeable at the finish. Solid beer for likers of amber ale.
