Best of the lineup of three this night at brewpub. Lots of lace and creaminess resulting from the nitro. Easy mouthfeel, although nitro does detract from potential complexity. Would go great with desserts, as this place is noted for. Your latte substitute.

Nice dark mocha pour, whitesh bage head the disopates quickly, good legs on this thing. Oaky sent with some sweet and nutty hints in there as well. Flavor is a bit smokey with some hints of roasted fruit. Pretty smooth, a little on the thin side.

Draft sample at MBGF 06. Brown color with moderate off-white head that diminished quickly with fair lacing. Moderate nutty roasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth thin texture. Medium sweet nutty flavor with a medium smooth finish of short duration.

Michigan BGF 2006 Day 2: Deep brown hue with good head and lace. The aroma has notes of leather, oat, roasted malt, walnut, and some lactic sourness. The taste starts smoky and earthy, twangy with some sourness. A bit nutty on the finish but lacks depth of palate. The body was too thin for an Oatmeal Stout, isn’t that the point of adding oats to the mash? Weak in the end, petered out big time.
