3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft in a sampler at the brewpub. Pours a deep, dark brown with a finger of dark tan head- very attractive. Notes of coffee, cream, dark chocolate, vanilla, and sugar. Once again, there is a base of something good here but itís just too sweet. Medium-bodied, with a creamy mouthfeel with backing roast and mild carbonation.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at the brewpub. Faint, roasty aroma, lightly coffeeish and vegetal. Flat-looking dark brown-black color, head is very slight. Flavor is also roasty, dry, ashy, even a bit charred, and somewhat tangy at the finish. Thin, watery mouthfeel for the style, body is light-medium. Meh. I didnít finish the pint.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On Tap at the brewpub- Dark brown with a decent tan head that faded slowly to a light lacing. Very faint aroma primarily of roasted malt.
Light coffee with a mild malt taste and very slight bitterness. Medium body but not the creamy texture I would expect from a stout. Another unoffensive brew from the Trailhead Brewery. Not a beer that I would go out of my way for. This seems to be a beer that blends well with a meal more than as a stand alone brew.

Has almost no flavor whatsoever. Milky chocolate notes. Bland watery and boring. This brewpub sucks.
