The only thing with any hops on it in this joint. Carmelly - not quite burnt, but not quite fresh malt flavors. Some hops, but only to bitter.

Tasted 8/2/09. Draft from the Brewpub. Filtered with a deep amber brown hue. Bubbled ring of off-white head. Faint nose. Medium bodied with a very dry finish. Good malt roast. Toasty bready malts with mild caramel undertones. Trace hops. No flaws, but just meh...

really skank and low quality, obrussive aroma, ok appearance, skunky flavor, lacking palate, and just not good.

Poured brownish amber with a small off white head. Aroma was sweet and malty. Flavor is light malt. One dimensional beer.

Tap at the brewpub. The body was medium copper colored with a light grayish colored head. The aroma was strong caramel with some apples. The taste was light leather with some salt int he finish. There were also some cherry pit notes. This was sweet and fruity for the style.

Caramelly malt nose, simple recipe, but has a pretty solid malt base. Balanced and smooth, but not overly complex in any way.

5oz sampler at brewpub. Clear amber with no head and a very faint hop aroma. Watery, syrupy and light caramel. Pretty light on flavor like the rest of the brews at Trailhead.
