Draft sample. Poured clear dark amber color with an averaqge creamy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium to heavy complex dark fuirt, malt and alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy balanced sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet and small alcohol burn finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good beer.

Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - APR 30, 2012
On tap at the brewpub in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Pours a deep and rich, ruby-brown colored body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, light brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is pretty solid with dark fruits, caramels, a touch of bread, a hint of chocolate and toast, and a light earth. Flavor is similar. Smooth and rich caramels with a good amount of dark fruits as well as a light, nice cocoa and toast note. A bit nutty in the middle with a touch of earth as this finishes smooth and lightly sweetened with nice, soft malts and dark fruits balanced with a light toast and cocoa note. Lengthy aftertaste with no hint of alcohol following a smooth, medium body and a light carbonation. Overall, a really well made tripel. Very smooth and soft malts with a light sweetness. Pleasant dark fruits with a light cocoa and toast note. Dangerously easy drinking too. Good beer.

On tap at Trap Rock. Poured a dark brown color with almost no head. Dark fruits (more in the tastes than the aromas), roast, some chocolate and a lighter nuttiness. Overall the alcohol content very well hidden. Lighter sweetness.
