Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 28, 2007 Highly sparkling, medium golden pour covered by a lasting white cover. Quite fresh tasting and competently malted, closing on toastiness, but even more so bready. Soft, almost hop-less finish. Refreshing carbonation, but generally bland, very thin and watery. DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2004 Pours orange/pumpkin, with a decent head. Slight malt and toffee aroma. Tastes malty, with some caramel/toffee at the finish. Seems a little watery at the finish, but gained complexity as I drank it. Nice marzen. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Apr 7, 2006 on tap-pours an offwhite head with amber color. Aroma is malt, some hops. Taste is nicely balanced hops & medium malt, sweet caramel. pivo (2488), Germany Dec 5, 2002 Light nose, redish color, and a sticky frothy head. Cherry tones in the flavor profile - sweet and almost lambic-like at times. Good attempt, but overall not so successful. Yogi_Beera (2404), Hamburg, Germany Dec 4, 2002 Malty and very bitter smell. Red, brussels lace. Toasted malt flavor, but all in all very thin and weak.
