Rastacouere (5201), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 28, 2007 Hazy, very pale golden hue covered by a lasting white cover leaving minimal lacing. Lightly alcoholic, honeyed aroma with soft lemony coriander and fresh cream notes. A bit phenolic and peppery in mouth. Its yeast certainly imparts some interesting and original character. Juicy palate, yet with medium-high carbonation, fitting the wheatiness. Very well extracted, apparently this contains 50% wheat and it takes a lot of room indeed. Subtle spiciness, gentle banana… all in the right direction. Well-bodied and warming ale. A rare breed of a pale weizenbock and I’m glad to see it so interesting. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 19, 2007 on tap -pours a dissipating white head and hazy yellow color.
