2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 vadersnightcap (80) - SCOTLAND - AUG 18, 2007
Prett dissapointing beer from one fo my favourite breweries.
I love jacobite and 900. This however is not nearly in the same league.
Thin watery and lacking the charactr and balance fo their other offerings.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 pintsize (1042) - Austin, Texas, USA - SEP 11, 2007
Bottle. Rich deep brown color with quickly fading head. Aroma is somewhat sour - and I can smell hints of alcohol - not exactly what I prefer to smell in beer. Can taste hints of alcohol as well. Somewhat boring on the palate.

Roasted malt aroma with notes of molases. Large bubble head. Ruddy brown liquid. Flavor is burnt toast and a little coffee. Very smooth but still not very pleasing.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 veronika (410) - SWEDEN - SEP 2, 2004
Dark brown, small head. Aroma from red wine, syrup and almond. Flavor is vinous, fruity, too much alcohol coming through.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lumpy (1802) - Carrollton, Texas, USA - MAR 14, 2006
Bottle. Look s exactly like cola. Nose-kind of a malty mildewy weird nose. Taste-some peaty smoke, brown ale fkavors, unsweetened toffee, unsweet honey, dry, bland malt, cereal, and artificial grape. Not bad, but not good on it’s own. Would probably go with food rather well. If I blindly tatsted this and was asked to name the style, I would say that it was a very strong brown ale.

Wässriger, etwas oxidierter Beginn mit dezenten Malznoten. Süffig, insgesamt leider etwas langweilig. Besonders zum Ende deutlich wässrig, geringe Malzigkeit. 8/8/9/8/8/8

Blah...this is awful. Aroma of whiskey(?) and oak. Pour was a flat light brown with no head. Taste was oak, whiskey (don’t know why) and a little toasted malt. There is some kind of weird nutty taste was well. No carbonation whatsoever. Without carbonation, this beer doesn’t have enough to keep me interested.
