Very tranquil looking. Abundant flavors: molasses, roasted malt, vanilla and coriander. Chewy palate. Wowzers! I believe there are gum drop tones… interesting. Finish is slightly sour with notes of cherry. Alcohol more present as beer warms. Also noted, tongue numbing. kenb (1101), Oregon, USA

Pours a clear dark brown with a large beige head.Aroma is butterscotch, vanilla, band aid, alcohol.Tastes just like it smells and the bandaid comes through strong in the aftertaste. Tastes like old stale boiled colliflower...Thin body. Crappy beer....maybe it is the coriander that ruins it for me? sunevdj (1790), Copenhagen OE, Denmark

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 30, 2006 Pours to a dark oily brown, wit hints of red. Had a very thin off-white head that left virtually no lacing. Nice strong aroma of malty dark fruit, with undertones of chocolate and toffee, with hints of spices. Taste was definitely more of the same found in the aroma, though the alcohol was more pronounced as the beer warmed. Finish was an interesting mix of sweet and dry. I really enjoyed this beer, although it actually reminded me somewhat of a barley wine. mgermani (867), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Pours a dark, almost opaque reddish-black. Small bubbly head and some lace. Fruity, spicy taste, sweet malt flavour, strong presence of alcohol, notes of berries. Slightly thin but creamy body with low carbonation. Fantastic coriander & caramel aftertaste. What a treat of a beer! kmweaver (2503), Sebastopol, California, USA

Cola-brown appearance; off-white head with retention at the edges and decent lacing. Plenty of coriander and sweet malts in the aroma; smells slightly hot / boozy; red fruit and maple syrup. Full mouthfeel: maple syrup, cotton candy, a healthy dose (well done) of coriander, some milk chocolate; slightly hot; medium finish showing candy sweetness, some roasted malts and spice. strings (361), Sydney, Australia
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 13, 2006 Bottle from Haket. Very spicy, wuite a variety of tastes that I couldn’t quite identify. Beautiful aftertaste. Hint of cherry without the sourness. What a cherry ripe might taste like if it were alcoholic and cost $100. Actually reminded me a bit of a muscat.
