A - Pours a dark brown/red body with a quickly fading tan head.
S - Earthy chocolate, dense caramel, brown sugar, toffee flavored cotton candy, sorghum, raisins.
T - Toasted brown sugar, molasses, toffee, caramel, vanilla, hints of chocolate, the coriander adds a good "non sweet" layer that helps with balance. Finishes with a hint of bitterness.
Caramel, toffee and molasses are the stars of the show but don’t wear out their welcome. Everything melds very well. This is what I want out of a Scotch Ale.

Bottle from Slowbeer. great beer. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, caramel. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and very long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Black, with a frothy head.

Clear, deep copper body with a small off-white head that ends up as a thin film quite fast, fair lacing. The aroma is strong, very pleasant and… hey! Jingle bells, jingle bells! I get lots of christmassy spices blended with delicious notes of dark dried fruits like raisins. Lovely! The taste is moderate sweet with a long-lasting light bitter finish. Strong, complex and pleasant malt-driven flavour profile. The christmas spices are in the front, anise-like liquorice, dried dark fruits, caramel and some well masked vinous notes in the back. Full body, oily to syrupy texture and very soft carbonation. A lovely beer, I think I need to save some bottles for christmas!

Brown small off white head. Aroma: candy, caramel, bisquits. Taste, sweet caramel, some boozy. (bad notes..need to revisit) Nice!

Full black ale with a small white head. Smooth palate and nice aroma and taste of mocca. Long lasting taste. Very good beer.

Vollmundig malziger Antrunk, dennoch erfrischend, leicht schokoladig, dezente Hintergrundsäure. Süffig, würzig, etwas Hopfen. Zum Ende hin schokoladiger, harmonisch. 11/12/12/12/9/12

A dark, reddish-brown coloured beer with a weak, white head. The initial smell is rich, meaty and spicy, loads of dark malt aromas and slightly floral. Was compared to ’Worcester Sauce!’ Fizzy but rich mouthfeel. The taste is bitter-sweet, rich dark malts give a smooth sweetness of burnt sugar, liquorice and the bitterness of roasted nuts. Then the meatiness of yeasty Marmite brings a slightly sour, grassy flavour. The sour element lingers well into the finish, accompanied by the smooth, rich sweetness.

not a fan. way too sweet, like harsh belgian ale. lots of plum, brown sugar, some dates and cherry. bleh. not for me.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, smörkola. Rund och len med en trevlig beska. Välbalanserad.

Nose is salty licqourice , plums, dark fruit and a touch of caramel. Taste is very malty, plums, spices, cola, touch of nut, finish is bitter, rich dark fruits and is lasting.
A very nice beer.
