Pours a dark nut brown color with a small white head. Aroma is of roasted coffee malt with caramel and spice. Flavor is absolutely delicious with notes of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, caramel, spice (coriander), alcohol, and slightly bitter. A little thin on the mouthfeel.

Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of raisin, dark fruits, brown sugar, very sweet. Flavor strongly of brown sugar, raisins. Thick mouthfeel. This beer is sweet but not oppressing, reminds me of a calmer/more complex/less intense DFH Raison D’extra. Quite good.

Jul 17, 2008 Bottle, best before June 2014. Aroma of earthy, dark fruits, the darkest of the dark, rich, sweet malt, richest of the rich. Flavor brings no surprises, continues its quest of decadence. Somehow manages to avoid becoming overly sweet, but it’s hanging right on the edge the whole time. A sipper, and a good one.
