4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a very dark brown with garnet highlights and a 1 finger, creamy tan head. Aroma is fantastic, intense fruity earthy and floral notes, coriander, juniper, nutmeg, lots of sweet floral and fruity notes, sweet malt, a hint of burnt sugar and citrus. Flavor is equally intense and impressive, tons of spice, molasses, earth, heavy thistle and honeysuckle floral notes, dark fruit, burnt sugar, sweet, earth plant notes, a hint of sweet melon. Medium body with a creamy to oily feel throughout and light carbonation. I really thoroughly enjoyed this beer. So intense without being overpowering and so unique.

Tried both this beer and the Oak Aged version side by side. Both dark and malty sweet and thick. Oaked has more carbonation and less sweetness. Hard to nail the coriander. Raisin and toffee and rhubarb. Like them both but the Oak is was the favorite of the 4 of us tasting.
