3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours medium, clear amber, thin head, spotty lacing. Nose is gentle hops and sweet malt. Plate is gently hopped, with the maltiness building in the mouth. A bit oversweet, and none too complex, but enjoyable, you wouldn’t have to break my arm to get me to try this again.

Bottle. 5%. Clear amber/copper pour, with a weak white foam, very little retention. Aroma is citrus, hops, and mild sweet malts. Taste is quite bitter, citrusy hops, malt and grains. Finish is smooth. Mouthfeel is alright. I’m on the fence here, it tasted alright and poured and smelled good, but I think I expected too much from it. Still a decent pale ale. 6-2-6-3-10

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
An excellent Pale ale from Tree brewing. Amber-colored with fine white lacing. Aroma is complex and inviting full of citrus and piney hops, and honey-peach-apricot malts which extend into the flavor. Mid-palate is nutty malt with a bitter pine and grass finish. Body is lacking for me although effervescence is excellent. I do enjoy this beer and think it is a strong showing for BC craft beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle - Light orange with only slight lacing, citrus and pine aromas with a slight sugar note. Brown Bread malt flavour that contrasts with the grapefruit heavy hops. Full mouthfeel that leaves tastes lingering long. Bit of a tart aftertaste rounds this delicious beer out

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beer appears to be a dull copper in color with a massive off white creamy head, billions of micro floaters are suspended in the body, the entire glass gets covered in walls of lacing during each sip, very tasty looking brew. Citrucy hops, creamy malts make up most of this delicious aroma, the hops are perfectly balanced not over powering but not understated, there seems to be a touch of a vanilla sent that I could detect as well, maybe the aroma is a touch watered down but still very good. So very clean tasting, lots of hops but not insane, you can still taste all the rich creamy malts. This brew has tons of flavor, smooth and clean not overly bitter but not to sweet either just a perfectly balanced beer that leaves no after taste. Hmmmm… I think I notice a mild soapy flavor on large gulps. Wow what a fantastic brew, this beer is going to get insanely high marks, but why? - Is it because I was desperate for a brew tonight? - Was the last beer I drank so horrible this one was fantastic in comparison? - Or was this beer just really this good? Either way this brew is fawking awesome the people at Tree Brewing are gods

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: SEP 26, 2009 Tree Brewery rules. Yet another great beer. This beer looks awsome. Crytal clear brownish copper, average sized creamy cap that has excellent retention and leaves great lacing. Beer makes a ploping slap sound when swishing too hard. Tempted to give this a 5 on apperance. Fresh aroma - a crap load of wicked malts and some aromatic hops. Don’t forget a touch of honey and cantelope. So good and so easy to drink - looks like a second bottle is needed cause this ones going going gone. It seems wrong that I keep giving Tree monster reviews, but they really put out good beers. Soft and warm malts dominate, but there is a definete spicy hop flavour mixed in. Sweet flavors as well as a slight tangy citrus and somehow, peppermint gets stuck in my head. You can taste the hops quite well even though they are on the mild side. Mouthfeel is everywhere. I’ll elaborate another day..my baby is crying.****addition of notes July 24, ’06*** Mouthfeel is very smooth, velvety even. Light to medium bodied, very mild bitterness and a slight dry finish. No gas! Yay!

One of the better canadian attempts at the style. Nice copper colour. Correct (low) amounts of carbonation. impressive floral hop aroma and taste. fairly good bitterness/maltiness balance. A little too sweet for my tastes but probably appropriate for a session. worth a try.
