Bottled sample from MLCC. Orange in colour. Nice citrus flavour. Faint hint or coriander type spice. Quite liked this one ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy gold pour with a white weak head. A skunky rotted smell I was totally not expecting. Odd taste as well.. Not pleasant. I didn’t think there was a wefe. I didn’t like. Wow this is bad. Gave a sip to my wife to try, and she thinks it tastes off. Possibly a skunked bottle or perhaps the worst wefe I’ve ever had.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color. The aroma is mild, spicy, some cloves. Dry and smooth mouthfeel, ordinary spicy wheat flavor, with correct bitterness; there is a very light residual sweetness that makes it more pleasant to drink.
Not bad.

Poured into a 500ml Weihenstephan glass. Gorgeous amber/copper pour with a big white head. Loads of banana, clove, and bubblegum. Great yeasty phenols and light citrus. Solid carb, and spot on mouthfeel. Yeasty finish with loads of bananas, and a medium bitter finish. Outstanding example of the style, rivals it’s German counterparts.

Cloudy golden in colour with a large white coloured head, good retention, excellent lacing. The aroma is of grains, grass, some light banana, light spice. The flavour is of wheat, a bit herbal, light banana, light spice. Lightly creamy mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, some spice and lightly bitter.

Very drinkable. Nothing really special about this but it is very refreshing.

650ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.
Opened on July 13, 2012.
No date.

Pours straw, opaque and golden. Aroma is fruity and malty (wheat). TAste is pretty much perfect Hefe : a wee bit spicy with lots of bananas. Feels a bit thin, but that’s not bad for an Hefe. All in al... extremely well-made Weizen.

650mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours a hazy straw colour with a bit of white head that leaves some nice lacing behind. Smell is definite wheat and hops, with a tiny bit of a spicy hint. Palate is light to medium with an airy carbonation to it that’s very pleasing. Taste is wheat like, with a bit of hoppiness and ends with a nice banana aftertaste, though the flavour overall is a bit weak, though I may be having it a bit too cold. Really good hefe though.

Bottle - 650ml. Cloudy golden body with a fair white foamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with yeasty and citrusy hints. Taste carries piney notes and ends with a good bitter/herbal finish. Drinkable.

650ml bottle into sample glass. Poured cloudy straw yellow with moderate white head. Aroma is citrus, clove and wheat. Taste is citrus, banana, clove, wheat and mild bitterness. Body was medium and bubbly. Overall, a solid North American hefe but it isn't epic or anything. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
