COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The HopHead is an extremely hoppy and flavourful beer, reminiscent of many American IPAs. The HopHead has a nice full body and mouthfeel, without the hoppiness being too overpowering. A fine ale all around.

This IPA poured a medium amber colour with a soapy, bright white, minimal head. Scents include spruce, grass, light caramel and dough. First swig was very hoppy with flavours of caramel, toast, and full grown spruce trees. Finish is bitter with spruce sap lingering...

A - some grainy sweet malt, nw piney hops Ap - light golden with a nice off white head. Nice lacing, ok retention T - good dose of sweet malt up front. Heaping of citrusy piney hops. It's really balanced nicely. Loads of hops but they're not overpowering Mf - med full and really quite smooth. Med low carbonation. Very drinkable. O - a really nice IPA, I actually think its more drinkable than their pale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2013 Pours a clear amber color with with a big white head that dissipates quickly but leaves a small ring and some nice stick lace. Smell is of citrus, pine & sweet malt. Taste is citrus and grass up front with some malts and a nice mouthful of hops on the finish but balancing extremely well with the malts.

Small bottle at Hops in New West. Little head or nose here. A nice reddish amber color. There are some sharp and bitter hops up front, but backed by substantial malts as well. Nice balance. Nice overall.

Bouteille 330ml.

Bottle from my trading buddy Andrew - thanks! Orange pour with a soapy white head. Soft aroma of resin and citrus. Tremendously balanced flavorful hop and caramel malt taste. Fuller palate. Really good stuff!

Keg at Beer Revolution, Calgary. It pours clear amber, with an off-white head. The nose is sweet caramel, toasted malt, earth and citrus pith. The taste is caramel, brown, bread, straw, earth, light citrus and toast, with a lightly bitter/dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Rather malt-forward. Very so-so.
