Bottle from my trading buddy Andrew - thanks! Orange pour with a soapy white head. Soft aroma of resin and citrus. Tremendously balanced flavorful hop and caramel malt taste. Fuller palate. Really good stuff!

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2012 Pours a clear copper with big soapy white head lacing the glass quite well. Smells of citrus and light grass. Taste is a very nice mouthful of hops but still a subtle grainy complexity.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Keg at Beer Revolution, Calgary. It pours clear amber, with an off-white head. The nose is sweet caramel, toasted malt, earth and citrus pith. The taste is caramel, brown, bread, straw, earth, light citrus and toast, with a lightly bitter/dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Rather malt-forward. Very so-so.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very good IPA (but not quite as good as Treeís x2 IPA).
Pours a dark red with decent foamy head before a very piny, resinous aroma hits you in the nose!
Hits all the North American IPA notes quite well with hints of pine, citrus, herbs, hops and more hops while staying well balanced on the palate. Nice light, hoppy aftertaste means you can drink more than one, which is always good!

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Hazy orange-brown pour with decent head and lacing. Aroma is very earthy and caramel. Taste: Lots of earthy and bitter hops with very sweet hops. Not enjoyable at all on a sunny day. A dirty IPA.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
July 26 2012. 330ml bottle pours clear amber with orange-red hues and nice inch foamy white head. Good retention and lasts to bottom of tulip glass. Aroma of citrus hops, grassy hops and hint of malt. Strong bitter bite of hops is first sensation on tongue settling to a real smooth palate that has no lasting bitterness or bite. Flavour is all hops, sour grapefruit, sweet grass and balanced with some mild earthy malt that cuts any harshness or sickly sweetness and balances the beer so well that there is no confusion or bitterness, just a short smooth finish that leaves me wanting another right away! Good thing it comes in 6 pack, because it is the most easy-drinking IPA I've had.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2012 330ml bottle. Oh. My. Goodness!! This is one tremendous drink! Upon opening I was greeted with the overwhelming scent of pine and flowers and candy corn. Gorgeous yellow-red beer (Lovibond 10/11) with long-lasting creamy head. Lace like a Playboy model! Tastes amazing too. Itís very hoppy; yet so balanced thereís absolutely NO harsh aftertaste. Iíve been looking for this IPA and now Iíve found my favourite!!
