Goldorak (424), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Mar 21, 2007 Translucid copper bronze, with a dense and creamy off white head.
Citrus, with tangerines and grapefruits, with sort of a grainy, potato starch aroma that I detect in IPAs sometime and I don’t know where it comes from but like it.
Do they put rye or wheat in there? It’s quite smooth even though there is a good amount of hoppy bite to it, without ever going overboard and harsh. I really enjoyed the body on this Beer, especially when the hop flavors died off and the residual sweetness of the malt came through. It did get a little more abraisive towards the end of the bottle but not enough to diminish my enjoyment. A solid west coast IPA.
touchpink (2), Rupert, British Columbia, Canada does not count Aug 7, 2008 Just had this beer last night from a keg. Pours very nicely with a amber body and off white head. Lots of citrus in the aroma which I found enjoyable. Very clean taste with lots of flavour. I thoroughly enjoyed this beer dchmela (686), Orlando, Florida, USA May 19, 2008 12 oz bottle courtesy Presario. Pours a nice copper color with a thick white head. Grassy, citrusy, slightly earthy aroma. An amazing hop bitter, like you are chewing on the hop leaf. Lots of grapefruit juice dryness, you know that! Finishes very dry and clean considering the amount of hops. Very nice! Strykzone (938), Wood River, Illinois, USA May 15, 2008 Thanks Pressario. Clear amber body with a small eggshell color head. Nose is hop with floral and pine effects. Hop bite is pronounced leaving a dry active bitterness. Hops dominate throughout with grapefruit and pine. However, there is a bit of malty caramel. A very nice flavorful beer. barleynhops (14), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Dec 5, 2007 T quote the commercial description, "The HopHead is an extremely hoppy and flavourful beer, reminiscent of many American IPAs. The HopHead has a nice full body and mouthfeel, without the hoppiness being too overpowering. A fine ale all around." Enough said.
