COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What’s better than one shot of espresso? Two shots of espresso! This riff on Percolation, our coffee stout, is bolstered by nearly 30% more coffee than her younger sister. In addition to Stumptown Finca El Injerto coffee, we added a healthy portion of Sumatra Mandheling. The Finca’s flavors of cognac and chocolate meld beautifully with the earthy nuttiness of the Sumatra. A rich, sweet, and less roasty base beer contributes the ideal backdrop to this bold and vibrant treat for the coffee and beer lover alike!

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2015 Absolutely delectable aroma and flavor. Lots of coffee and chocolate notes. Bitterness is tempered and balances nicely. My only complaint? Reminds me of Wormtown’s Norm, though slightly less rich and decadent... but still left me wanting coconut! (please note this beer is not available for sale at Julio’s. It was poured from growlers at their most recent tasting/beerfest)

Due to artificial lighting, arbitrary rating for Appearance Expressly coffee - and nothing else... Sweet coffee, getting liqueurish, and not unlike fortified wine. Sweet chocolate..Very thick - voluptuous, good carbonation. Quite good, but the nose is just coffee. Thx to M & L V!

Bottle. Aroma is all coffee bean. Tastes like roasted coffee mostly with a slightly artificial nutty taste and light soy sauce. Very odd. Not my favorites

Bottle: The aroma consists of heavy coffee/espresso, moderate chocolate, and hints of cream. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and and a small beige head that fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate with a hint of molasses. The finish has moderate-heavy coffee/espresso and a touch of vanilla. It’s medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.
