COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bursting with 3.5lbs / BBL of pungent American hops, Julius is loaded with notes of passionfruit, mango, and citrus. A soft, pillowy mouthfeel and rounded bitterness makes Julius very, very easy to drink. You’ve been warned.

Growler... Pours hazy and golden with a mid-sized, foamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma offers plenty of peaches and apricots, a modest measure of armpit-like funk and touches of cat piss and tropical fruit. Medium to full-bodied with airy carbonation. The flavor showcases heavy, earthy bitterness accompanied by biscuit and honey malts. Trends a tad toward the bitter side of balance, but well-balanced overall. Finishes bittersweet and resiny. Growler courtesy of biggsbowler!

Growler, filled 12/19 and opened today. Pours beautiful cloudy orange with small head. Aroma is intensely juicy tropical nectar with tons of peach, citrus zest, and fragrant honey too. Taste is at once juicy and crisp with lots of mango and lychee, and an amazing light body that managed to also be full. The texture is one of the most impressive aspects, not at all heavy or doughy or bloated. Out of control.

Growler. Pours orange-brown with a thick white colored head. Citrus pine aroma over mild carbonation. Tasty ipa with some complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

P: Hazy orange with a one finger head. S: Damn! Just strong tropical hops, mangos and pineapples, oranges and just completely floral. T: Mangos and pineapples, light malt sweetness. in the end. M: Medium body and medium carbonation. O: That smell was freaking amazing.

Thanks a bunch to biggsbowler for the share. Tropical and citrus fruit but not as pungent as I expected from a beer with this much hype. Fairly pithy bitterness in the finish.

Growler shared by biggsbowler. Clear light yellow pour with a white head. Grapefruit hop aromas. Big grapefruit hop notes dominate. Sturdy malt backbone. Very good mouthfeel with a good body.

Lightly hazed golden pour with resilient head retention. Glowing, gentle hop aroma. Muskmelon, passionfruit, candied orange rind and flower petals. Sauvignon Blanc grapes and their gravelly, limestone and flint powder affect.

The flavor has more greenness to it, blending grasses and dandelion into the juicy citrus acids of the new world hops. It has all the hallmarks of the nouveaux version of the style, with super bright fruits, distant though ample malts, and brittle, drying yeast texture. Still, in the minutiae of details there is a bothersome slick sugar component to this, reminiscent of caramel or crystal malt.

This is enough to quietly taint the generally austerely clean texture here, leaving the thinnest film of bittersweet tea-colored sugar to coat the mouth; the important distinction here is that this is the only limitation of this otherwise brilliant example.
