Though originally brewed as a "Christmas" beer, this piney IPA, brewed almost exclusively Chinook hops, was so enjoyable we decided to put it into the íyear roundí rotation. With itís golden yellow color, rich aroma, and drying body, itís hard to stop drinking this one.

Growler from the brewery. Pours a cloudy, light yellow-amber color with a white head. Aroma is hoppy, pineapple, mango, grapefruit. Medium on the palate with light, creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, light cereal, pine hops, grass, citrus, pineapple, mango, with a clean, bitter finish. Reminiscent of other New England IPAs Iíve head. Excellent.

[ Growler ][ 750mL ][ Tree House ][ $8 fill + $5 glass ][ Globe ][ 6.1.14 ]
>> Growler filled 5.29.14 and opened 6.1.14, shared with DTF on a rooftop party. Pours Tree Houseís typical murky glowing peach and mango juice color, extremely unfiltered but no chunkies. White foam is healthy and sticks around. Nose is subtle and requires coaxing, but out comes this ridiculously fresh and soft tangerine and freshly made tropical fruit smoothie with banana, mango, papaya. Perfect prickly carbonation in mouthfeel gives this a flavor of something like a pineapple smoothie blended with orangina. One of the most fruity and juicy beers Iíve ever had. Could be blonde ale, APA, IPA, Saison- whatever. This one has the low bitterness, high hop forward fruit juice character, and a palate to put everyone but maybe a handful of brewers to shame. Absolutely mind blowing.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2015 I generally have a hard time enjoying Chinook hops... but Treehouse gets it right. The aroma is deliciously pungent pine with hints of cereal, nectarines and lemon. The flavor is similar and adds a bit of tangy punchiness.

Poured from a 750ml swing top. Big piney and tangerine hop notes. The malts are subtle, some bready grain character. Great IPA.

750 ml bottle to snifter (shared with jmborggren and the Mrs.). Looks good; a transparent golden orange with foamy eggshell head. Smells good too; piney hops with a mildly sweet pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with loads of juicy hops. Pleasant on the palate. A great IPA!

25.4 oz growler, a week old. Barely clear yellow with a webby white head. Nose is pineapple, orange, tarragon and coconut. Medium body with a soft buzz, lightly sticky. Taste is toffee, dates, pine, citrus pith and grass. Lip smacking sweetness followed by doughy bitterness.

growler, really enjoyed this, seemed way tamer than the Julius but apparently has a higher abv. Piney, citrusy hops, good mouthfeel, could drink this all day
