4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Probably the piniest IPA I’ve tried from Tree House. The aroma is bold and deliciously pungent. The flavor lags slighltly behind but still impresses.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler, filled 12/19. Pours hazy melon orange with one finger of white head. Aroma is peach gummis, cotton candy, piña colada, lychee, weed, and dank pine resin – unusual mixture of pine and fruit. Taste is juicy orange nectar and citrus peel with chewy malts and grain fading into mellow pine that grows into a fairly assertive bitterness. Thick textured and robust while still not as aggressive as, say, Heady. Super solid for Chinook, which isn’t a favorite of mine.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a slightly hazy orange/gold with a medium white head. Aroma has a sharp rindy citrus...grapefruit. Flavor follows suit and adds light herbal notes. Mouthfeel is light/medium with a dry rindy/citrusy finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Growler from the brewery. Pours a cloudy, light yellow-amber color with a white head. Aroma is hoppy, pineapple, mango, grapefruit. Medium on the palate with light, creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, light cereal, pine hops, grass, citrus, pineapple, mango, with a clean, bitter finish. Reminiscent of other New England IPAs I’ve head. Excellent.

[ Growler ][ 750mL ][ Tree House ][ $8 fill + $5 glass ][ Globe ][ 6.1.14 ]
>> Growler filled 5.29.14 and opened 6.1.14, shared with DTF on a rooftop party. Pours Tree House’s typical murky glowing peach and mango juice color, extremely unfiltered but no chunkies. White foam is healthy and sticks around. Nose is subtle and requires coaxing, but out comes this ridiculously fresh and soft tangerine and freshly made tropical fruit smoothie with banana, mango, papaya. Perfect prickly carbonation in mouthfeel gives this a flavor of something like a pineapple smoothie blended with orangina. One of the most fruity and juicy beers I’ve ever had. Could be blonde ale, APA, IPA, Saison- whatever. This one has the low bitterness, high hop forward fruit juice character, and a palate to put everyone but maybe a handful of brewers to shame. Absolutely mind blowing.

Poured from a 750ml swing top. Big piney and tangerine hop notes. The malts are subtle, some bready grain character. Great IPA.
