COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our modern take on an American Pale Ale features six hop varieties balanced by a crisp malt bill of pale and caramel malts. The beer is complexly aromatic, supremely hoppy, dry, and thirst-quenching. Sharp of grapefruit dance with notes of pine on the tongue before a firm citric bitterness finishes things off. A Tree House classic!

Pours clear gold with a thick white head...nice lacing and retention. Aroma has great floral and grassy notes...like slightly herbal hop candy. Flavor follows suit but not so candy like...more grassy and herbal with light malt backing. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is dry and grassy / herbal.

Poured from growler into tulip: Pours hazy golden with a foamy white head and good lacing. Aroma is awesome, strong tropical fruits, grapefruit, grass, hay, and a little resin. Taste is a tropical bouquet, papaya and passion fruit, grapefruit, and hay. So smooth, medium body, a little sweet, but well balanced with all of the hops. Not bitter at all, but has lots of hop flavor. This might be my favorite beer from Tree House.

Cloudy orange pour, two finger white fluffy head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit and some floral. Taste is grapefruit, pine, citrus and floral. Very easy to drink smooth pale ale. One of the best. Must try if you can get to brewery.

> A masterpiece papaya smoothie, silky and denser APA

[ Growler ][ 750ml ][ Tree House ][ $7 fill + $5 glass ][ Globe ][ 5/29/14 ]
>> High Hill Farmstead like fill on the growler, no pop, consumed hours after filling from the brewery tap room, which could be renamed to "growler filling station" as that is all that Tree House is- same with Hill Farmstead. Pours a beautiful, full haze, deeper orange with thicker, rocky yellow foam. Nose is lightly sticky, butterscotch, vanilla, fruity papaya, funky and overripe melon, strawberry. Taste is mildly acidic, mildly sweet papaya smoothie, silky mouthfeel with an oats or rye chewiness/density. Silky and soft body. Extremely juicy and lightly bitter like grapefruit and papaya blended. Dry, but not chalky or papery. Hop forward but not bitter. Mild sugar remains to give it body and balance. Really a masterpiece.

>!< probably worth the 1 hour+ detour

750ml swing top growler from the brewery. Pours an orange amber color with a white head and some lacing. Aroma is hoppy, floral, some grass, some grapefruit. Medium on the palate with soft, creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, bread, cereal, pine and grass hops, flowers, with a bittersweet floral finish. Definitely some pine and grapefruit in here, but flowers is the dominant hop note for me. Very nice.

(Rating #5528)

Growler: Poured a nice golden/orangey color ale with a nice white foamy head. Aroma of tropical fruit with some very nice and fresh grapefruit notes. Taste is a wonderful mix of grapefruit notes with some light tropical notes. Nice presence of citrus notes with some very limited amount of bitterness. Body is about average with good carbonation. Quite a treat and glad I got a chance to try some of this.

Growler at Ottawa crew’s March tasting courtesy of Ian. Pale yellow with an off white head. Slightly musty citrus hoppiness with lemon and orange at the forefront, balanced caramel maltiness, somewhat sweet. Moderate body and carbonation, more bitter citrus on the palate and finish. Enjoyable and easy to drink.
