Pours a hazy dark copper colour with big white head slowly dissipating to a big white ring with spots covering the beer and a bit of lace up the glass. Aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and caramel. Flavours are a caramel maltiness, some hop bitterness, cloves, nutmeg, booze and little cinnamon, nuttiness slight pumpkin touch.

If only this beer tasted as good as it looks! Great head, wonderful color but that’s where the good ends. Limited pumpkiness happening, almost nil carbonation, decent finish. Not a bad beer but probably one of the weaker pumpkin beers I’ve had this year.

Pours a dark amber with creamy white head. Some faint pumpkin pie aromas...cinnamon and cloves....that’s about it. Tastes more like an oktoberfest/marzen....malty up front hoppy finish....not much of a pumpkin beer though.

Single bottle purchased from a BC Signature Liquor Store in Abbotsford, BC on 10/22/2012. Colour: Dark brown with hints of orange, and slightly cloudy with no head. Nose: A dusty yeast, A sweet caramelized pumpkin note, a hint of maple. Taste: Medium sweet, medium-light bitter, medium sour. Somewhat sweet but quite delicate and soft. Spice does slightly emerge late with a fading vegetable bitterness. Quite, quite enjoyable.

One of the better ones in its genre... actually the first I’ve had that I’d try again! I won’t though since I’m a ticker through-and-through for the moment.

Nice combination of sweet and bitter, with the pumpkin adding to the former, but not in an artificial way. I can even taste the hops.

A pumpkin beer where the vegetable somehow actually adds to the balance instead of taking away from it. Apparently quite hard to do, so good job on that. :D

Un gôut subtile de citrouille mais pas d’épices, un gôut de bière moins forte que les autres bières de citrouille. Plus effervescente que la moyenne pour les ales.

sulawang (408) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 10, 2012
pours translucent bottle brown, minimal head, ringed retention, minimal lacing, slow as molasses moving CO2 streams. Some malt on the nose, not much else. 7/10-level sweetness med-heavy malts up front, brown sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin, very creamy silky mouthfeel, finishes just a tad watery and thin. A soft mellow lingering bitter finish. Medium complexity, medium depth, good transitions, decent carry, pretty good drinkability.

Bottled sample. Dark orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of nutmeg, sourish pumpkin, and pale mats. Surprisingly, pale and toasted malts lead the way in the mouth backed by notes of pumpkin, brown sugar, some woody/spicy heat, and a hint of vanilla. Medium bodied. Disjoint, but more or less ok.

Lagerboy (666) - British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 23, 2011
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2012 Dark copper, frothy tan head. Spicey, yeasty pumpkin nose. Strong bitter pumpkin and spice taste. Chunky. Medium to full bodied, a stronger offering than the other seasonals. Short bitter finish. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

DuffMan (5192) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 15, 2011
Botlle, shared with Parksy and Gripp in a pumpkin beer taste-off. Handsome dark copper, medium cream colored head. Sweet malty caramel aroma, some allspice. Nice caramel malt with assertive pumpkin character and a husky nuttiness, balanced (but not overwhelmed) by sweet spices. This was a nice pumpkin beer, second in preference to Rogue’s and much better than Phillip’s.
