Appearance: clear deep amber, one fat finger of rocky ivory head diminishing rapidly to a thin cap, moderate lacing. (3/5) Aroma: citrus, pine, pale and caramel malts, faint vegetal pumpkin and spices, nutty, grassy and earthy. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (7/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, off-dry building bitter finish. (4/5) Much more of an IPA than a pumpkin beer - lots of citrus and piney hops, with only faint vegetal pumpkin and spices in the background. I probably like this more than a lot of pumpkin beers for that very reason, but if the point is a pumpkin beer, itís kind of missing that boat. Iím going to split the difference there, and grade this as a fairly unremarkable IPA. (And seriously? Am I rating the same beer as everybody else on ratebeer? People are going on about the pumpkin and spices, but for me theyíre way, way back in the cheap seats. And pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and all that jazz generally donít fade as fast as hops do, so Iím confused. Oh, well - normal state of being for me, I guess.) (13/20) Edit: This canít be the same beer. ABV and IBU are completely different (6.5% and 65! IBU, compared with 7.1% and 19), and the malts are as well (Pale, Chocolate, Crystal, Light Munich, Dark Munich).

Pumpkin pie spice to bitter in 2.1 seconds. When you're expecting pumpkin to mellow to citrus IPa but instead get punched in the face by spice and then bitter you can't help but feel disappointed.

Surprising drinkable pumpkin that balances initial hops with the spices. Best because itís fresh. LCBO find.

Hazy dark amber color with compact head. Caramelly beer, moderately sweet; it has more hop presence than your usual pumpkin thing, some lemon custard aroma, different spice mix (less cinnamon, more intriguing), orange peel final and other hop resins.
Pretty good.

Pours deep amber orange. Big frothy head. Sour Punkin smell, wet grasses. Taste of spice, mild pumpkin. Finish a little more robust and bitter, makes for a better balance. OK pumpkin beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - Pumpkin spices and nice pumpkin. Orange clear copper with a rich beige head. Pumpkin and spices up front with an unpleasant bitterness that follows through to the finish. Not that great.

Pours a hazy dark copper colour with big white head slowly dissipating to a big white ring with spots covering the beer and a bit of lace up the glass. Aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and caramel. Flavours are a caramel maltiness, some hop bitterness, cloves, nutmeg, booze and little cinnamon, nuttiness slight pumpkin touch.

If only this beer tasted as good as it looks! Great head, wonderful color but thatís where the good ends. Limited pumpkiness happening, almost nil carbonation, decent finish. Not a bad beer but probably one of the weaker pumpkin beers Iíve had this year.

Pours a dark amber with creamy white head. Some faint pumpkin pie aromas...cinnamon and cloves....thatís about it. Tastes more like an oktoberfest/marzen....malty up front hoppy finish....not much of a pumpkin beer though.

Single bottle purchased from a BC Signature Liquor Store in Abbotsford, BC on 10/22/2012. Colour: Dark brown with hints of orange, and slightly cloudy with no head. Nose: A dusty yeast, A sweet caramelized pumpkin note, a hint of maple. Taste: Medium sweet, medium-light bitter, medium sour. Somewhat sweet but quite delicate and soft. Spice does slightly emerge late with a fading vegetable bitterness. Quite, quite enjoyable.
