Why did they make a pilsner with such low hop flavour? That’s what I want to know. It really does fall into that dreaded "pale lager" category... well, maybe "premium lager" would fit better but I just hate that name. This is basically a pilsner with very low hops. Forgettable, and I didn’t care for it that much.

500 ml can from Premier Wine and Spirits (Halifax). Pours a lightly cloudy golden yellow with a tiny white cap. Aroma of grains, honey and a whiff of fruit. Flavour is honey, biscuit and a hint of lemon zest. Gently crisp finish. Refreshingly pleasant.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Golden pour with medium sized white head. Aroma of wheat, caramel and yeast. Taste of wheat, caramel, malt and a slight hop finish. Caramel or something else, not quite sure, throwing off the balance on this one. Nice carbonation.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Unclear golden yellow, foamy white head fades. Faint grainy malty aroma and taste with some light hop bitterness, not much else going on here. Low hopped, average carbonation, light bodied. Thin and watery, faint citrus finish. Disappointing. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

bottle. Poured golden with a thinning white head, nice lacing. Aroma of wheat, a touch grainy. Medium body but somewhat flat. The taste is blander than expected, common grainy flavour with a little citrusy hop and caramel notes.

Can 500 ml
Aroma: good proper lager aroma, grainy just slight fruitiness. Bit light on hop.6+
Appearance: amber gold, clear with thick foamy top. Some lace shown. 4-.
Body , Flavour , Palate and Final Notes: medium bodied. Crisp, clean and smooth. Refreshing feel with slight worty, yeasty behind. Some might not like that. Once more light hop character for labeled Pilsner. Good brew if you skip that.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
341mL bottle poured a pale golden color with a modest head that settled to almost no lacing. Aromas of grain and some hops. Taste is mostly hoppy bitterness with a hint of malt sweetness from the grain. Just another average pale ale.
