Bottle. Pours light yellow with light white head. not much smell. tastes of malt. not much hops. not really a pilsner. needs smoother malt, and more crisp hops. not bad though if you donít call it a pilsner...

Canned sample. Gold in colour with medium carbonation. Muted aromas of pale malts, herbal hops, and a bit of sulphur. Very mellow in the mouth with a soft malt-pudding flavor. Any hop flavors are very subtle if they even exist at all. Clean finishing and medium bodied. A bit bland, but thereís no weird chemical astringency or adjunct flavors to be found either. One could do much worse in the generic pale lager category.

In pilsner glass. Yellow-gold with two fingers of white head, good lacing. Light straw-grain aroma with a hint of sub-acid fruits. Flavor is subdued sweetgrass malt, hints of subacid fruits and astringency with a crisp, dry, lightly bitter finish. Very drinkable. Fits the crisp and refreshing, albeit plain, pilsner style with greater complexity that many of the more common entries.

Light yellow color. Smells like a standard pilsner. Decent taste. Fairly smooth taste and finish. Nice.

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2009 The flavour and palate are what stonad out about this beer. Otherwise it would seem just another pilsner. The malt flavour comes on very mellow and finishes evenly with no abruptness in the flavour.

Clear, darker gold in colour with a smallish head. The nose was only a little hop and a little malt. Flavour was very average although decent enough, but the mouth was thinner than Iíd like. Things faded away at the finish.

Let me start by saying Iím more of an ale guy. However, this is a clean, fresh brew. 500ml can. This one is neither as malty or as hoppy as the real Euro Pilseners Iíve had but then again it has itís own charm. This beer is simple, it has no objectionable qualities and a nice, if mild hop flavour.

Beer looks slightly hazy pure gold with a one-inch noisy cap with not bad retention, for a pilsner this isnít to shabby looking. Aroma seems mild and made from noticeable hops, and a dry wheatiness, smells ok but a touch to mild for my liking. Flavor is crisp and light comprised of mild citrusy hops, a nice light smooth malt character and finishes dry and clean. Nice simple brew that any one can enjoy yet still quality made, ok for BBQís and days at the beach. Review done while watching Hannibal rising.

Poured out a thick white cap that faded to a film. First whiff made me move my head away - similar to compost and very similar to all the rotting plant material that I cleaned out of the stagnant water stuck in my eavestroughs today. But, it does fade away in strength a bit. The veggie aroma is kind of annoying as it is mixed in with some floral and malty aromas. With that said there is some skunk. After it warms there is more of a malt presence that is pretty good. A touch fruity too. The review of the taste is being done after considerable warming. A little on the watery side, the hops stand out first followed by a decent malt backbone. Medium light bodied and fairly smooth with ample carbonation. Malty finish. Drinking this cold was terrible for my beersnob tastes. But once warmer I did enjoy it but would have to be in the mood for this exact style of beer before hopping into the car to get a case.

***review from when it was known as Honeycomb Pilsner***
(3.2) Light gold in appearance with an almost foggy look due to tons of the tiniest particles of sediment that never settle. Sweet honey, floral hops and malt dominate the soft aroma. Slightly sweet, a dry mild hoppy flavor is prominent which i found just a bit tart leaving the mouth dry and a bit sour.. The hops biterness comes out more when it warms. A very easy drinking beer. The belches were world-class. I didnít drink this with my beercronic clone, but probally should have. Ha! We rated it the same! Must be my schizophrenia kicking in...either that or the micro dots....
