COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“Mellow Moon is the perfect complement to this great weather,” says Tod Melnyk, President, Tree Brewing. “The first taste of pineapple each summer is a memorable experience, and now we’ve bottled that so our consumers can enjoy on any occasion.” Unfiltered to create a naturally cloudy brew, Mellow Moon Pineappe Hefeweizen also has flavours of citrus and clove that lead to a pleasant, dry mild hop finish. It pairs well with crowd favourites such as ham and pineapple pizza, spicy Indian cuisine and lemon meringue pie. Six pack while setting up my office in our new location May 2013. Drank from the bottle. Purchased since pineapple sounded cool. A nice alternative and not as crazy as it sounds. Had a pineapple note in the scent and light yeast on a fruity flavor. A quencher but a nice quencher.

What? Pineapple heffy? Alright, I’ll give it a try. Pours hazy yellow. Aroma of banana and juicy pineapple. Taste, however, is mostly just usual "hefeweizen" - I can’t really detect any pineapple. Light body. Refreshing summer brew.

Bottle picked up at the source. Pours a cloudy gold/ copper, clingy white head that leaves spirals of lacing on the glass walls. Nose is sweet, grain, and pineapple and a little skunky. Tastes of sweet grain, pineapple juice, a touch sour as well. Pretty decent, I liked this brew.

Sample at Picaroon's Brewer's Bash. Hazy banana yellow colour. Aroma is strong pineapple. Taste is pineapple and some Hefe wheat. Juice-like body and mouthfeel. Overall, it basically come down to how you feel about drinking pineapple juice with some beer in it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Visual: Pineapple + Heffy sounds like a super refreshing combo, especially in the summer. Pours cloudy orangish-yellow with lees, smallish creamy head, a bit of lacing, decent retention, a plethora of activity. Nose: great; very clean fruity pineapple Attack: 6/10-fruity sweetness Mid-palate: pineapple, wheat malts, medium sourness/tang, touch of hops Finish: becoming dry but not quite, mild barnyard, wheaty, tangy light malt finish. Summary: Overall quite a nice balance of fruit-malt-sweetness-sour/tang all with a sustained finish. Straightforward and enjoyable with a meal.

330 ml bottle. Unclear yellow, creamy white head settles and lasts. Actually smells and tastes like real fresh pineapple, lightly spiced, some clove and citrus. Average carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Tartens a bit with more pronounced clove towards the finish. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

2oz sample from a Tree Brewing rep. 5% Pours a clear golden yellow with a little haziness. Bubbly white head dissipates quickly. Aroma is reminiscent of the Dole plantation, full-on pineapple. The pineapple is a little too overpowering in this for me, very sweet, the yeast and wheat character are underwhelming, and unbalanced.

Pours a hazy golden color with a minimal head. Aroma of pineapple, citrus, fruity esthers and yeast. Taste is pineapple, wheat and cloves. Overall a nice sessionable beer that would go well with a pineapple dish.

Pours a very cloudy Yellow with an orange tinge and a small white top. Aroma is citrusy pineapple, yeasty and cloves. Flavour is sweet and tangy pineapple, wheat, and cloves. Very refreshing fruit hefe, great for a hot summer day.
