COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“Mellow Moon is the perfect complement to this great weather,” says Tod Melnyk, President, Tree Brewing. “The first taste of pineapple each summer is a memorable experience, and now we’ve bottled that so our consumers can enjoy on any occasion.” Unfiltered to create a naturally cloudy brew, Mellow Moon Pineappe Hefeweizen also has flavours of citrus and clove that lead to a pleasant, dry mild hop finish. It pairs well with crowd favourites such as ham and pineapple pizza, spicy Indian cuisine and lemon meringue pie. Hazy golden pour with small thin white head. Aroma of pineapple, wheat, grains, malt and faint citrus. Taste of citrus, malts, grains, wheat and subtle pineapple. Light bodied, nice medium carbonation, pineapple and citrus on the finish.

Hazy gold with a thin white head. Aroma and taste are less pineapple than just general tropical fruitiness -- not that it’s bad. Nice touch of spice in the finish.

330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a small, short lived, off white head. Fruity aroma with tart pineapple, bubble gum, wheat, yeast and clove. Sweet pineapple flavour with banana, wheat, yeast, clove and a mildly dry, citrus finish. Light body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Different and refreshing.

[6945-20141129] Bottle. Artificial pineapple and shortcake aroma. Murky, pale orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Sweetened dried pineapple fruity flavour. Medium body. Interesting. (7/3/6/3/13) 3.2

2014-11-29. Hazy dark yellow body moderate white head. 3+ Aroma is oddly fruity, pineapple but wierdly so. Sort of fermented fruit. Flavour is similar, odd fruity pineapple character, quite sweet, light pale malt character. Average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Not awful but I don’t particularly want more either. Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto

650 ml bottle. Pours a veiled yellow-greenish straw with a white head. Aroma is pineapple, flowers, herbal, lemon. Flavor is cereal, tropical fruit....nothing else, because carbonation is so strong. Finish is...pinapple? lemon? grapefruit? herbs? Medium body, stingy mouthfeel, overly aggressive carbonation.

355 ml can from a variety twelve-pack from Sobeys Liquor outlet. Served in a tulip glass, which isn’t correct for the type, but felt it might help me analyze the aroma. Pours a hazy yellow-orange hue, with a quickly-vanishing head of white, peaked froth. As expected, the aroma was immediately big with pineapple, and a small amount of damp cardboard. Good, soft, wheaty hefeweizen flavor with just enough sweetness; banana accompanies the pineapple/tropical medley. Pleasing body, with lingering tropical notes. A very good craft wheat beer, with fruit flavor that isn’t obnoxious or gimmicky...it just fits very naturally into the overall profile.

The beer pours a hazed watermelon gold colour with a genrous bubbly white head which lingers as it slowly dissipates. The aroma is wheat, grains, yeast, and funk. NJHot a whiff of pineapple. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is wheat, cloves, citrus, and hints of pineapple, and funk. It tastes better than it smells.

650ml bottle, cloudy orange-gold hue, with a bubbly white head, with a mild fruity pineapple, fruity, yeasty, doughy, peach nose, with a spicy clovey, ripe apple, faint banana esters, and a peach cake, faint orange marmalade, wheat, pale malty accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a nice fruity, yeasty, doughy, wheat malty, spritzy citrus, juicy stewed pineapple, orange peel, spicy coriander character, with a pineapple cake, oatmeal cookie dough, peach jello, faint flowery citrus hop flavour, leading towards a spicy yeastiness, bread dough, wheat maltiness, lingering light citrus hop, pineapple fruitiness finish.
