3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blankboy (5153) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 11, 2012
Bottle [650ml]. Pours a clear deep amber-brown with an average size fizzy/frothy beige head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, raspberries, chocolate, slight lactic notes, vegetal notes and light hops. Flavour of chocolate and raspberries first followed by lightly roasted malt and a bit of metal. Light roasty finish. A bit watery and a bit thin but not overly. Average bodied. Pretty good, simple but still pleasant.

650ml bottle. Deep brown colour, dark red around the edges, with a small, short lived head. Chocolate, coffee porter malts in the aroma with some sour raspberry. Taste is more balanced than the smell, with a sour raspberry finish. Overall, taste came together pretty organically without seeming forced or fake, but was more berry than porter.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rwgould (300) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 11, 2012
650ml bottle from LCBO. Served in a pint glass. Aroma is weak, mostly of hay, slight hints of raspberries. Appearance: Dark golden brown, no carbonation, extremely foamy, thick beige head. Looks like someone dropped a cloud on top of it. Palate: Medium-thick bodied, smooth, slightly astringent finish. Taste: Very sweet, with slight hints of bitterness in the finish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 mdnguyen (31) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 9, 2012
The pour: a dark brown with tan head, tight lacing. The aroma: dark chocolate and raspberries form a wonderful pair that hits the nose with a bit of a sharp note. A bit of coffee and roasty malts are present as well. Some burnt notes are present. The taste: a nice dry and light body with some tartness and acidity to finish. A mellow bitterness throughout. The verdict: the porter character matches really well with some fruitiness and overall I really enjoyed this brew, quite a treat for someone who is a fan of chocolate and fruit.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nuffield (3348) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 31, 2012
I quite liked this, mostly because of the fruitiness rather than the porter. The fruitiness is straight forward, at the front of the tasting and all raspberry, but it is engaging and welcoming. The porter qualities are subtle, arguably too subtle, except for the caramel/malt qualities in the palate. There are too few roasted qualities. Still, decent drinking beer and worthy trying. Bottle bought in Toronto.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 wilderthanyou (669) - Guelph, CANADA - JUL 31, 2012
Pours a porter brown with a thin off white fizzy cap. The aroma is chocolate raspberry hot chocolate. The flavour is more or less just that. Pretty one dimensional. Easy drinking, but the flavours don’t really play off each other, or build to any sort of complexity. It’s just chocolate porter flavour with raspberry juice.

Bomber from the LCBO and last from this batch of brews, from this brewery, for this time. Pours a dark brown colour with a light beige head that has average retention, but not much lace. Roasted malts aroma balanced by the mild berries. The mouthfeel is kind of watery (expected a bit of tart), but easy going down. The taste is light as well with some notes of chocolate and raspberries. Hints of hop show up in there. Nothing too fancy, but a refreshing lightly-fruity porter.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 GuillaumeCL (312) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 11, 2012
From 650mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours a dark brown, nearly black, with some white head that dissipates quickly. Smell is malty, seems like chocolate, ans some raspberry. Palate is nice with some thick body and soft carbonation. Taste is a bit a bit watery with a bit of malty sweetness and just a hint of bitterness. Needs more bang.

Pours very dark, with a slight head. Aroma is a weird combination of the raspberry and chocolate of the porter. Taste is sweet and the raspberry is prominent but not overpowering.
