Drinkable. Quite plain. Iíve found amber ales can be all over the place, this one is mellow compared to many. A little hop balance in the background, overall itís fine, no more no less.

Originally reviewed Feb. 17, 2007: such a good brew. mmmmbeer introduced me to this, and i'm thankful. local pub serves on tap, which i had today, and it was a treat. poured with a decent head, that left good lacing on glass. right now drinking out of bottle and reviewing. aroma boasts sweet malts, and light flowery scent. refreshing. taste is fresh with the malts again showing good presence. colour is clear, light copper. all around good beer.

bottle. Poured clear dark amber with a beige head that left great lacing. Sweet aroma, caramel and apricot. Medium mouthfeel, creamy carbonation. A rich malty backbone, notes of caramel, nuts, and finishes with medium bitternes.

341mL bottle poured a clear amber color with a big white head which settled quickly to spots of lace. Aroma is caramel malts with a mild hoppiness. Taste is caramel sweet with some hop bitterness in the finish. One of the better amber ales that I have sampled.

500ml can. Clear brew with amber/red colour. is co2 heavy and shows some lace. Aroma is muted a little (from the filtration i presume) but has a malted profile showing nice caramel notes and butterscotch mixed with some floral hoppy notes...light hops and light malts. is more of the same in the palate, has some nice crafted notes of malts upfront and finishes hoppy but lacks any real character, which i pressume has been striped due to filtration. an easy brew, nothing special.
