Bottled at pre-RBJG festivities in Kyoto. Muddy pale orange. Phenolic banana aroma. estery with toffee and sugar underneath. Sweet with clean mouthfeel and above medium body. Bubblegum and white pepper shows up in a finish with alcohol and some surprising bitterness.

Thick, rich and bready malt aroma with plenty of plum-like fruitiness along with strong banana and clove overtones. Perhaps a bit light for a weizenbock the tan coloured cloudy body is topped by a generous and very long lasting white head that coats and rings the sides of the glass. Banana and clove marry well with the bready and toasty malts in the flavour. Bitterness though apparent is not the focus. Medium-full body has quite strong soft bubbled carbonation that lasts throughout. Sampled on tap at The Whip in Mar-09.

Bottle (660ml). Shared by blankboy with me, garthicus, GregClow and tupalev. Cloudy light orange pour with a smallish frothy off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, mild coriander, banana and dried wildflowers. Taste of sweet malt, some lemon, orange and banana, overlaid with dry, sweet, spicy yeast. Light bodied, mildly carbonated, decent fruity linger - pretty solid, not overpoweringly sweet.

(650ml bottle) Purchased at the BCLS in Fairfield Plaza, Victoria. Pours a beautiful tall, foamy white head with a highly carbonated, cloudy ochre body. Nose of lemon zest, detergent and banana puree. Good banana-front with a mid-palate tonic, zesty flavours. Being a BIG fan of this style, I’ve gotta say that I’m impressed with the freshness and yeasty background. Look out Konig, I think I’ve found a local favourite - yet am wondering from the other reviews if there is a bottling issue like their previous wheat adventure? My beer tasted so fresh and clean. 8/5/8/4/16

My bottle (650ml) shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow & tupalev -- c/o Mirek. Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with a small diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of banana, spices, yeast, citrus and some light sugary sweetness. Flavour’s yeasty with lots of spices, sweet malt, some banana, wheat and a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Not a favourite style of mine but this is, in my opinion, a well done version and pretty good.

650ml. Big thick lasting head on a cloudy gold beer. Lighter colour than expected. Light banana aroma. Flavour is thin banana and a slightly harsh combination of alcohol and bitterness. Hopefully if they brew this next year it is a closer to style.

Big bottle, enjoyed with an awesome German meal of sausage roasted on a bed of homemade sauerkraut, beer, apple slices, and onions with a giant heap of spetzle. Pours a cloudy lemony yellow with an enormous marshmallowy head. Big sweet banana and heavy spice aroma and flavour, a little estery, with a pleasnt slightly tart finish. A perfect companion to the meal!

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Garthicus, Blankboy, and GregClow, courtesy of blankboy. Banana, yeasty aroma - good. Hazy syrupy yellow, no head. Nice taste - crisp lemon, yeast, wheat, and alcohol. Good stuff.
