Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110127]

Pours a nice light golden yellow. Aromas of hops, grass, and maybe malt. Taste is crisp with a nice mellow hop flavor.

Bottle. Pale golden clear colour with a weak head. Very light aroma of malt and hops. Also in the flavour.

Bottled. A light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty with some weird hop note. The flavor is sweet malty, leading to a dry and bitter end. A very simple pils.

Das Treiber Pils beginnt mit einem verwässerten, aber dennoch gut erkennbaren herben Aroma. Der Hopfen wirkt in Teilen erataunslich klar, so erwartet man es von einem Bier dieser Preisklasse sonst nicht. Aber auch das kann über den allgemein milden Ton nicht hinwegtäuschen. Im Nachgeschmack deutlich stärker und bitter, im Hintergrund etwas holzig. Kein Wunderbier, aber ein mildes Pils auf solidem Sockel.

(bottle) Brauerei Treiber has closed in the end of the Eighties of the 20th century. Their Pils always has been (in)famous in the area of the city of Ludwigshafen. I suppose the current bottled version is brewed by Pfungstädter. Clear, pale golden colour with a short foamy white head. Slightly herbal hoppy aroma with grainy accents and a tinge of metal. Bitter flavour, slightly papery and herbal hoppy taste; light to medium body; dry and bitter hoppy, slightly metallic finish.

Yellow with a good but short lived head. Bland lager taste, with some metallic notes and a flat aftertaste.
