BigBen2120 (558), Gardiner(52 miles from Allagash), Maine, USA Jun 25, 2008 12oz brown bottle (screwtop) from Hannaford in Gardiner. Pours a hazy dark amber with a good inch of off-white head. Smells like earthy spicy hops with some biscuit malt. Tastes like grassy, earthy, and citrusy hops with enough biscuit and caramel malt to balance it out nicely. Medium in body and moderate in carbonation. Very drinkable. Nothing exciting but a solid EPA for sure, and definitely something I’d be open to going back to.
ruggedman (429), Portland, Maine, USA Oct 5, 2008 Contract brewed by shipyard, so you know what to expect out of this one. Not exciting, basically tastes like a watered down Sam Adams with old hops and garbage malt.
