Best before 2/08. Big diacetal dyacetal di-ass-it-all. Whatever. Just too buttery. Do not want.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours deep gold with copper highlights and fluffy off white head. The aroma is big buttery bread and smacks you in the face. I also get toffee and then an astringency odor. If thereís some hops involved in the aroma they might be floral like and just overridden by the toffee covered breadiness. The taste is much like the aroma but the flavors donít work well together. The toffee and fresh buttered bread are pretty nice. But then an abrupt spicy floral hop note breaks up the experience by driving a wedge into the flavor. Then a somewhat harsh astringency tears into he flavor leaving a shredded disjointed mess. This one really doesnít work for me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I had this one pegged. As soon as I opened the bottle, I thought, "This is a Shipyard knockoff." Didnít realize that it was brewed by Shipyard. Anyway, butterscotch and well-brewed UK hop aroma. Metallic on the lips. Clean label and presentation, fogged golden amber color. Sheeting, clingy head. Hops are well-brewed, understated sweetness and a prominent diacetyl flavor. Medium to slightly heavy body. Seedy, diacetyl, metallic finiish. Malting is good, hops are good, but the hopping wasnít done cleanly.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A sweet fruity aroma.Pours a cloudy orange color with a thin head that did a beautiful job lacing up around the edge of the glass and a small amount in the middle.Flavor is of a typical IPA, full of hops with a small spicy hop finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
very well balanced ipa. aroma is inviting, fresh pine. pours a burnt orange, nice looking beer. the taste is a great balance between malty striking hops and bitterness. moves through a pine hop to a little citrus. finsh isnt too bitter but still leaves a lingering of hops inthe mouth.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tallahassee, Fl. - Albertsonís Liquor Store - 12 oz bottle. Dark orange pour, silky white head - decent lacing. Sweet, cake mix like aroma, hint of spruce - faint though. Heavily hopped with Fuggle bitterness. Some caramel, cake mix sweetness and a hint of homrebrew funkiness. Clean, even mouthfeel. Finish is just a bit harsh though. Nice change of pace for an IPA - get tired of Cascade hop bombs after a while.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle. Poured a nice amber color. Aroma of citrus and grass. Not extremely hoppy, but was very well balanced. Not the best IPA ever, but is very drinkable, and would probably make a very good session IPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle via mystery swap with Thaichile, thanks Mark! Pours a amber-copper color with a medium sized soapy off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is malty, some pine and maybe apricot. Flavor is mellow hops, nice punch of malt, apricot, pine, balanced is key phrase here. Palate is rather nice, medium bodied, medium carbonation, sorta sweet at times, crisp, nice stuff. Nothing miraculous, but a good solid IPA. Gotta agree Mark, an underachiever for sure.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours an amber color with a quickly disappearing head. Nose is piney. Flavor is clearly hops but the malts come through to make this a nice, balanced, not crazily hopped IPA. A nice combination of fruit, sweetness and grapefruit. A real nice IPA for my tastes, but if you are looking for a hop bomb, look elsewhere.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 fl oz bottle. Deep reddish golden. Throws a tall white head. Crisp acidic hop character. Very Belgian in fact. Cork aroma. Sourish sweet flavour. Pez-like perhaps. Brett? Gentle hop bitterness does not go overboard. Light hoppy aftertaste. Mellow. Not a favorite IPA.
