COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed as a true British-style India Pale Ale, Tremont IPA is assertively hopped with English Fuggles and balanced by a big malt profile.

Formerly known as Tremont IPA.

Pours a light golden brown with barely any head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, with hints of caramel and grapefruit. Goes down very smooth, with only a slight hoppy bitterness at the back of your throat. A well-balanced beer; the malts are more prominent than in most American IPAs. Definitely brewed in the English style. Overall, not bad, and it leaves a nice coating on the roof of your mouth.

Bottled:
Pours a dark amber colour with a mid-sized head. Aroma is sweet toffee with a little bit of hops. Somewhat thin mouthfeel. Flavour starts off in a sweet and malty way but ends in a hoppy bitter way. Not too exciting.

Assertively hopped, yes indeed. For this brewery at least. Bottle dug out of cooler at a church gathering I was obliged to attend with the wife. Fortunately, a few other prisoner husbands were on the porch with me. Glad I brought some SNtorpedo. English to style...check. Hopped up, check. Its still from Shipyard..... nuf said. Consumed from bottle so no data there. Appearance score is soley from the presence of beer at a church function. body lacks real malt character.

Moderate hop aroma. Hazy orange cole with a small white head. Light beginning that gets slightly bitter in the finish.

The smell is a little off putting at first but the taste is fantastic and it seems to match up better with what the brewers were probably intending to brew. I’d say its rather neutral in taste, but certainly not a bland beer. I like that it has a little more character that a usual IPA.

Bottle. Pours a gold color with a frosty head. Aroma of carmel, nuts, and cereal. Mild sweetness taste, nowhere near overwhelming. Average carbination with a light body. I look forward to having it again.

It has a spicy taste mores a hoppy tast as one would expect from an IPA. Not very good.

Clear copper coloured body with a nice amber glow and a thick, luscious tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt, nuts, toffee and everything BUT hops! Medium-bodied; Assertive caramel and toffee at first followed by nuts and malt, but again - where are the hops? Aftertaste shows a very very very small amount of grassy hops, but nothing anywhere close to an APA, let alone an IPA worth amount of hops. Overall, a pretty bad beer for the style of course - there aren’t any hops, but a decent Amber Ale, if they labeled the beer as such. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Colonial Spirits in Acton, Massachusetts on 23-September-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 28-October-2010.

Amber orange in color with a steady stream of small bubbles rising to the top. Starts with a nice 3 finger head that quickly shrinks to small lacing around the. Malt with a little bit or earthy hops. There is a nice amount of sweetness, with a tiny kick of hops in the background. Quite easy drinking for an IPA sometimes they are a little to hoppy for my taste.
