This strong golden ale showcases a variety of the ingredients and brewing methods that help differentiate Triangle beers. The Strong Golden is fermented at a higher temperature than our other beers adding an undercurrent of fruitiness (although there is no fruit in the beer). Very lightly filtered the Golden exhibits complex mouthfeel, strong malt flavors, a spicy hop presence and soothing alcohol warmth, followed by a clean, dry finish. It is excellent with food as well as served by itself. Malts: Two row pale, Cara Pils, White Wheat, Accidulated malt, and Belgian Candi Sugar Hops: Magnum, Styrian Golding, and Saaz

very good Belgian flavors and aromas with a little extra sweetness that distinguishes it as an American Belgian-style. didn’t seem very high alcohol

Nice strong malt flavor for a golden beer. The Hop is slight yet noticable. This is a great drinking beer. One of my favorites from this brewer.

Pours from bomber a nice caramel malt presence coupled to a spicy hop and yeast presence. The aroma was esters dominate and fruity to accompany the spice and malt. The beer arrived crystal clear pale golden with a low lasting head which laced the glass. The flavour was fruity with a light bit of spice through the strong esters and some presence of alcohol. Caramel presence was fairly low. The overall taste presented as herbal and quite nice. The finish was dry with some lasting spice into the aftertaste. Decent Belgie made here in NC, nice.

A fine Tar Heel Beer, even if it is made in Durham! It has a nice clean aroma. Pours yellow and clear with nice carbonation. It holds a nice light lacy head. It has a nice sweet caramel flavor. Great mousthfeel. Good Golden after taste that is somewhat bitter.

Deep yellow with fluffy white head and lace. Bread, rock candy, and belgian yeast. Hint of abv warmth, nice finishing bitter. Thin and foamy kept this from being a much better beer.

Brewgrass 2009 Clear golden body with a small white head. Candy malt aroma. Well balanced, sweet, yet not cloying. The alcohol is very well hidden.

Orange pour with small white head. Aroma of sugary fruits and some malt. Flavor of more sweet fruits and hoppy malts with hint of banana on the back end. Best of their crop of beers by far.

Draft at Bull McCabes. Dark yellow to orange hue with thin head and big lacing. Nose is Belgian candi sugar, pears and apples, and sweet malts and wheat. Flavor follows suit with a big sweet Belgian fruit and malt profile, good hop balance, finishes quite sweet. Smooth and creamy texture with a modest alcohol presence and full-bodied goodness. A thick sweet Belgian that borders on cloying, not for mass consumption, I’m already feeling very full....

22oz (unlabeled) bottle acquired in trade with emacgee (thanks!). Poured a medium golden color with a huge sized white head. AAromas of spices, citrus, yeastiness, bready, and bananas. Tastes of citrus, bananas, lighter spices, and sugary sweetness.

Brought home by the wife who saw this on a shopping trip with the girls to Southern Season in Chapel Hill. From a 22oz bottle this one poured a golden color with lots of foamy white head and quite a bit of bubbles. Aroma of malts, citrus, spices with some banana scents as well. Taste of coriander, alcohol, banana and plenty of sweetness to go around. Lots of carbonation. Overall decent Belgian Golden Ale.
