Sep 17, 2008 (22oz bottle, thanks wilkie) Large white head atop murky apple cider body, nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, some candi sugar, pepper, pineapple syrup, light yeast, wheat. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, mango, peach, some candi sugar, light pepper. Medium body, some dryness in the finish.

Jul 17, 2009 22oz (unlabeled) bottle acquired in trade with emacgee (thanks!). Poured a medium golden color with a huge sized white head. AAromas of spices, citrus, yeastiness, bready, and bananas. Tastes of citrus, bananas, lighter spices, and sugary sweetness.

Sep 19, 2008 Bottle courtesy of durhambeer: Pours a transparent deep golden bronze with a large, airy, clingy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet biscuity caramel malt, some clove and light fruity esters along with a doughy Belgian yeast strain. Body starts with good full sweet maltiness and a mild hop bitterness with pleasant clove spice before a slightly drier yeasty finish. An authentic and enjoyable Belgian strong ale.

Oct 25, 2007 Draft at Tyler’s in Durham, NC. Poured a clear golden color. Head was thin, white, and left a little lace behind. Aroma was of clove and alcohol. Slightly sweet on the tongue with subdued clove and alcohol flavors. Mouth feel was a bit thin. There was some pleasant fresh malty cereal grain at the end.
