COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This strong golden ale showcases a variety of the ingredients and brewing methods that help differentiate Triangle beers. The Strong Golden is fermented at a higher temperature than our other beers adding an undercurrent of fruitiness (although there is no fruit in the beer). Very lightly filtered the Golden exhibits complex mouthfeel, strong malt flavors, a spicy hop presence and soothing alcohol warmth, followed by a clean, dry finish. It is excellent with food as well as served by itself. Malts: Two row pale, Cara Pils, White Wheat, Accidulated malt, and Belgian Candi Sugar Hops: Magnum, Styrian Golding, and Saaz

12 oz. can from Trader Joeís. Ar: Moderate spicy nose, banana, and some yeasty funk that gives off a slight rust note. Ap: Pours a hazy copper with a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly. T: Up front sweet, clove note, but thereís that awkward rust flavor here. Almost no alcohol burn. P: Medium-thick, mild carbonation, moderate stickiness.

Draft at Brixx Chapel Hill pours golden with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Slight champagne note on the nose. Not much on the tongue. Doesnít have any alcohol burn. Some hop bitterness on the finish to clean things up. Eh!

12oz can, thanks to Jay. More hazy golden color, good thin persisting white head. Nice fruity hoppy aroma, some belgian-esque yeast flavor. Attractive maltiness. Estery, nice spice taste, some sweet zest. Some orange. Smooth, creamy, lighter carbonation. Bigger body, but more dry texture. Enjoyable strong golden ale

Can. Nice take on belgian strong. Fairly clear orange, slightly weak head. The 8% is well hidden, the beer is fairly complex, estery characteristics, some hops, a bit spicy and somewhat refreshing, an accomplishment given the strength. Only issue was it was maybe a tad too sweet in the end.

12 oz can purchased at Trader Joeís in Raleigh, NC. pours a dark orange with a 1 finger white head. light Belgian yeast esters across the nose with heavier phenols. med body filled with notes of banana, citrus and light grain. sweet candi sugar comes in later and coats the finish along with more yeast esters and phenols. definitely fermented warm with lots of spice notes coming through.

This is a slightly weird one. It smells like feet. It doesnít taste bad at all, but isnít really anything I would ever like to smell again. Not much to say about it, other than that I find it really weird that itís in a can.

From 1 year old archive: Pours hazy yellow with white head. Aroma of light bubble gum and citrus, little fruit. Flavor is grainy wheat, citrus, some fruit, yeast and a light tartness. Light body with high carbonation. Overall, not bad.

Pours a rather attractive, if not stunning, solar yellow with a fairly thick white head. Malty aroma has a strong fruity overtone that is mainly apple and banana with a hint of pear. Flavor - now thatís flavor! - fills the mouth with fruit, again mostly apple and banana and a little pear, with a malty undertone and hints of butterscotch and caramel. Texture has firm body and a strong, persistent fizz. Had in a can - I bet itís spectacular on tap.
