COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This strong golden ale showcases a variety of the ingredients and brewing methods that help differentiate Triangle beers. The Strong Golden is fermented at a higher temperature than our other beers adding an undercurrent of fruitiness (although there is no fruit in the beer). Very lightly filtered the Golden exhibits complex mouthfeel, strong malt flavors, a spicy hop presence and soothing alcohol warmth, followed by a clean, dry finish. It is excellent with food as well as served by itself. Malts: Two row pale, Cara Pils, White Wheat, Accidulated malt, and Belgian Candi Sugar Hops: Magnum, Styrian Golding, and Saaz

12 oz. can from Trader Joe’s. Ar: Moderate spicy nose, banana, and some yeasty funk that gives off a slight rust note. Ap: Pours a hazy copper with a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly. T: Up front sweet, clove note, but there’s that awkward rust flavor here. Almost no alcohol burn. P: Medium-thick, mild carbonation, moderate stickiness.

Overall this great Golden is a fantastic creation : but definitely not good for sessions. Found it to be have fairly sweet qualities, with little to no aftertaste, highly alcoholic in character, but not in taste, and aesthetically beautiful with its dark (slightly cloudy) hue. Full-bodied and hardly bitter, the toughest part of this beer is getting it out of the 6-pack retainer; otherwise, it’s a real pleasure but definitely should be enjoyed only in moderation (too many of these can be overpowering in taste and daze).

Pours golden, cloudy, average head. Aroma of yeast, dark fruits, coriander, malts. Taste: sweet and sour fruits (wild cherry?), citrus, belgian yeast, spices, sweet malts.

Beer pours a golden wheat color, clear with minimal head. Doesn't look like anything special. Aroma is subtle, with some berries and caramel in the smell. Taste is solid with some sweet strawberry and light malty noted coupled with a boozy undertones. Overall a decent beer but lacking some complexity.

Draft at Brixx Chapel Hill pours golden with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Slight champagne note on the nose. Not much on the tongue. Doesn’t have any alcohol burn. Some hop bitterness on the finish to clean things up. Eh!

12oz can, thanks to Jay. More hazy golden color, good thin persisting white head. Nice fruity hoppy aroma, some belgian-esque yeast flavor. Attractive maltiness. Estery, nice spice taste, some sweet zest. Some orange. Smooth, creamy, lighter carbonation. Bigger body, but more dry texture. Enjoyable strong golden ale

Can. Nice take on belgian strong. Fairly clear orange, slightly weak head. The 8% is well hidden, the beer is fairly complex, estery characteristics, some hops, a bit spicy and somewhat refreshing, an accomplishment given the strength. Only issue was it was maybe a tad too sweet in the end.
