COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Triangle White Ale is unique and truly refreshing. The style gets its name from the white, slightly cloudy appearance of this unfiltered wheat ale. Brewed with a generous amount of white and red wheat that is grown locally in Scotland County, NC, and our own special blend of organic spices, makes Triangle White Ale complex in flavor without being overpowering or cloying. Overall, it is a beer that is light, fruity and very drinkable during a hot summer day. 5% abv. Silver Medal winner at the 2010 Carolina Championship of Beer.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2012 Draft at Watts Grocery, Durham. Looks more like an APA, but it’s well carbonated, decent head. The nose is about what you’d expect from an American take on the style, very mildly spicy with some fruit notes in there. More hops in the beer than anything else, though you still get some decent flavors. Very typical but not unenjoyable.

Hazy yellow beer with a big fluffy head. Aroma is on the yeasty side of the wit spectrum without any noticeable coriander. Some citrus. A touch of orange peel comes out in the flavor. Thin bodied. Manages to have a dense mouthfeel while still feeling light.

Sampled at the WBF in Raleigh. Pours a pale yellow white with a frothy white head. Doesn’t have any apparent haze. The nose is sweet, spicy, some orange, nice aroma. The flavor has a lot of sweet orange, a bit grainy, watery, no carbonation, a bit sweet. Flavor not spicy.

Tasted at Brewers Prenstation at Raleigh WBF. Appearance was slightly cloudy appropriate for its style. The beer had a slight fruit taste with a decent amount of spice. The body was light a beer you could easily enjoy on a summer day.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2012 Sampled in the presentation tent at WBF Raleigh. This beer made its first public appearance at the festival. 4/26/08. Pale yellow color with a slight haze. Yeast and citrus aroma. Assertive taste of stone fruit with a slight hint of spice. Very smooth. 6/4/7/4/16

Rerate 3/12/11. 12 ounce can. Pours a very hazy yellow orange color with a medium sized frothy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of citrus, bread, caramel and spice. The taste is wheat, citrus, spice, caramel, toasted notes and a bit of a tropical note. Fairly dry for a witbier. Medium bodied, slightly assertive carbonation. Still a nice beer three years later. 7/3/8/4/15
