Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Triangle White Ale is unique and truly refreshing. The style gets its name from the white, slightly cloudy appearance of this unfiltered wheat ale. Brewed with a generous amount of white and red wheat that is grown locally in Scotland County, NC, and our own special blend of organic spices, makes Triangle White Ale complex in flavor without being overpowering or cloying. Overall, it is a beer that is light, fruity and very drinkable during a hot summer day. 5% abv. Silver Medal winner at the 2010 Carolina Championship of Beer.

Slightly hazy medium amber with a solid rim head and dots of lace. Taste is malt, but it is also light spices and papaya and apples, before adding light bitters to finish. So light it loses character, making it drinkable, but not exactly enjoyable.

Citrus, woody, smoke. A good Belgian style beer that has good flavor and pleasing mouth feel. I also like to swirl the can and get some of the yeasty remants.

12oz Can. The pour was a slightly cloudy golden orange with an average (1-2 finger) white fizzy head that diminished steadily, down to a light film with a small collar that did last throughout and had fair drippy lacing. The aroma was of a light grain malt and a musty Belgian yeast with notes of citrus (orange and lemon), coriander and a mild scent of wet grass. The taste was lightly sweet and rather citrusy from the start, becoming quite yeasty with a tart lemony finish. The flavor lasted an average time proceeding the swallow, with a lingering citrus wheat taste left behind. Mouthfeel was just a tad past light in body with a mildly dry texture and a carbonation that was just a bit past soft in intensity. Overall this was a smooth, tasty and very refreshing Witbier that possessed a unique lingering tartness at the finish. This would definitely make a great summer session brew... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

12 oz. bottle from Trader Joeís Chapel Hill Iíll preface by saying this is almost certainly a bad can. Iíve never had this before but thereís no way this would be rated as respectably if it were this far off. Ar: Weird. Sort of smells like rusty fishing lures after a trip to the beach. Ap: Pours a slightly hazy light orange-amber. Fizzy white head dissipates almost immediately and doesnít leave much lace. T: Completely dominated by a really strange, almost rust-like flavor. P: Light carbonation, medium body. O: Not sure if this is a bad can or what...I suspect thatís the case because this is not at all reminiscent of a Wit. Iíve never had their beer before so hopefully thatís the case. But this was just way off.

Purchased at Whole Foods Market Cary. Drank it out of a can, so Appearance rating is a bit disingenuous. Sitting on the back porch, watching my daughter play on the first day of the year that could be categorized as "hot" and it went down pretty darn well.

Shared 12oz can, thanks to Jay. Mostly hazy golden - orange color. Little off-white head. Nice zesty citrus peel nose. Decent few dots of lace. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Clean, dry finish. Lemon, zesty, citrus peel aromas, coriander, light spice. Light banana. Sweet taste. OK wit.

Can, consumed with Drsilverworm at his flat in Cincy. It is a musty orange colored wit with an off--tooth-white ring rimming the glass. Nosed sour grass, wheat bread, white grapes and Belgian yeast. Tasted the same. I didnít think it had very much complexity.

has a nice aroma out of the can with little hop aroma and a sweet taste. The head doesnít last long but the flavor is sweet and smooth. Very easy to drink .

Pours a cloudy light golden color with almost no head. The little aroma I do get smells metallic and almost skunky. In contrast, the flavor is floral and citrusy, being light on the palate.

On tap at Summertime Brews fest 2012. Pours hazy maize. Full white head with prickly active carbonation. Nose and flavor are heavy on the coriander. Light orange notes. Some cabbage-like funk. Mouthfeel is full and slick.
