Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Triangle White Ale is unique and truly refreshing. The style gets its name from the white, slightly cloudy appearance of this unfiltered wheat ale. Brewed with a generous amount of white and red wheat that is grown locally in Scotland County, NC, and our own special blend of organic spices, makes Triangle White Ale complex in flavor without being overpowering or cloying. Overall, it is a beer that is light, fruity and very drinkable during a hot summer day. 5% abv. Silver Medal winner at the 2010 Carolina Championship of Beer.

Brewgrass 2010. Pretty standard white ale, not that there is anything wrong with that. Cloudy and pale, with a nice notes of coriander and orange. Flavor is a little sweeter than I was expecting, with orange juice and spices. Tasty and quaffable.

Pours a hazy golden color with a billowy white head. The aroma is bright and fruity, with the distinctive combination of yeast and spice that the style is known for. The first few sips are laced with banana, lemon, and clove, but aided by the light body and solid carbonation, these potent flavors seem to blend into a light, dry sweetness.

Hazy orange pour with a thin white head. Undercarbonated. Nose is spicy with a hint of grains. Flavor follows suite with a juicy fruit gum flavored finish.

A nice white beer. The taste and aroma is very wheaty and the head is slight but decent. Nice palate for a white beer.

Cloudy yellow pour with white head and lace. Bread, light orange, and belgian yeast. Bread, candy, and yeast. A tad thin with good carbonation. A pretty nice beer.

Orange pour with small white head. Citrus notes in aroma slight hint of hops and grains. Toasted grains dominate the flavor which I thought odd, and slightly spicy. Different tasting witbier than I am used to.

I had this on cask on Bull McCabe’s last night, though it was slightly different--brewed or added with blueberries. Assuming it was a one-off, I’ll just rate it here. Not as "white" as most wits; more of a hazy golden orange pour with thin white head that was to be expected from the cask. Wheat, subtle spices for the style, which was nice (orange peel, coriander). Thin palate and easy to drink. The blueberry didn’t show through strong at all. More the nice floral notes than a fruit bomb. Pretty tasty. Looking forward to drinking more of the regular batch, maybe this summer.

Draft at Watts. Hazy orange/yellow color with a small white head. Nose of biscuits, yeast, and spice. Nice crisp flavors and well balanced, with a solid wheat mouthfeel. This is a delicious session wheat beer, and a nicely done Belgian representation.
