emacgee (1055), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Apr 30, 2008 Sampled at the WBF in Raleigh. Pours a pale yellow white with a frothy white head. Doesn’t have any apparent haze. The nose is sweet, spicy, some orange, nice aroma. The flavor has a lot of sweet orange, a bit grainy, watery, no carbonation, a bit sweet. Flavor not spicy.
gotohelunc (361), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 25, 2008 Draft at Watts. Hazy orange/yellow color with a small white head. Nose of biscuits, yeast, and spice. Nice crisp flavors and well balanced, with a solid wheat mouthfeel. This is a delicious session wheat beer, and a nicely done Belgian representation. OldGrowth (1269), Cary, North Carolina, USA Aug 11, 2008 Pint @ MacGregors. Good aroma, coriander & citrus, orange mainly, little lime. toasted grain, wheat. Hazed orangy gold color, good head, ok lace. Spiced sweet flavor, like aroma, favors the sweet side. medium body, creamy smooth mouthfeel, spicy finish. Very nice brew, really enjoyed it. JCB (1014), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jun 26, 2008 Draft at Watts Grocery, Durham. Looks more like an APA, but it’s well carbonated, decent head. The nose is about what you’d expect from an American take on the style, very mildly spicy with some fruit notes in there. More hops in the beer than anything else, though you still get some decent flavors. Very typical but not unenjoyable. Magjayran (1118), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jun 12, 2008 Hazy yellow beer with a big fluffy head. Aroma is on the yeasty side of the wit spectrum without any noticeable coriander. Some citrus. A touch of orange peel comes out in the flavor. Thin bodied. Manages to have a dense mouthfeel while still feeling light.
