Kasteel Tripel aged in Cognac casks.

Thrill to that full, rounded taste, that delicate touch of cognac and the smooth, bitter aftertaste of this unique gourmet beer. Trignac is a real collectorís item. Only a limited edition of Trignac is brewed.

Caramel, butterscotch, smooth, fine bubbles lead to creamier texture, cognac and dark cherry from the casks

Bottle at BFG15, masterclass. DRank besides a small glass of Kasteel Tripel, to compare the two. A bit darker than the tripel, dark yellow. Aroma has a good hint of cognac. Taste is fuller, more body, alcohol shows up but not bad. Good one.

Tap @ Cafe Moortgat. Dark brown coloured, off white head. Nose is caramel malts, sweet malty, spicy, bit of cognac. Flavour is caramel, cherry, some sourness, cognac, fruity, spicy and boozy. Fairly sweet finish.

Mooie oranje kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt vanille, kruiden, hout, cognac. Smaakt vanille, cognac, redelijk alcohol.

Sample at Essen Kerstbierfestival 2014, shared with Mathieu87. Found back notes that where lost. APPEARANCE: clear blond beer, nice stable white head. NOSE: oak, caramel, fruity, some alcohol. TASTE: oak, caramel, fruity, some alcohol, nothing special though. Way too expensive normally, glad I could try this at a festival

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2015 Aroma: Nothing special, smells like a lighter version of a regular triple beer Appearance: A murky amber colored triple Taste/Palate: Triple and cognac; honey/flowers/fruit/bitter/sweet. From the moment this bear enters your mouth till the moment it leaves it, you will notice many different things. Itís really amazing.

Apple, cask, lemon, freshness. Thatís the aroma! Slightly cloudy light yellow colour. Starts with a big white head. Cognac like taste with lots of alcohol. Dry, champagne like flavour with apples and pomelo. Pretty ok.

Opaque orange brown beer, slightly opaque. Foamy head.Smell is lots of vanilla! Some wood and hints of peaches, pears. Maybe some honey and caramel, but the vanilla dominates.Taste is vanilla sweet, bitter, with an oily feel. Fizzy. Slightly alcoholic. Bit too sweet for me, but it works with the vanilla and the wood.
