Finally got around to this, one of Trillium’s regulars. Hazy maroon body with a small off-white head. Aroma is alcohol and sweet fruits, flavor is similar but with the addition of some delicious sweet caramel. Thick and frothy mouthfeel. Great domestic Belgian.

Bottle shared late night in the hotel lobby during RBWG 2015. Pours clear deep gold with a dense, frothy tan head. Piney hops on the nose with citrusy accents. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of spicy rue, more pine, orange rind. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes moderately sweet with some orange peel, bread, rye spice, pine needles. Nice.

Tasted during RBWG post-grand tasting shit-show hotel-tasting. Clear amber orange red color. Bigger off-white head. Splotches and bits of lace, looks solid. Stronger carbonation, though. Bigger body, kind of slick carbonation. Light slick. Caramel malt, mild spiciness. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Some mild heat. OK musty caramel strong ale. More heat than necessary.
