3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hand-pulled pint on 22nd Apr 2014 in the Crown Inn, Oakengates. Poured a good looking mid-range copper colour with a white head that hung around.
Malty front to the nose with the hops taking over very quickly, a mild citrus undertone. The taste also had a mini malty sweetness initially and again the hops took over to give the flavour a more bitter feel, with those citrus notes just below the surface throughout. Well worth trying if you come across it.

Cask (Kuikka, Helsinki)
Gently hoppy English bitter aroma. Paleish, but a lovely persistent spongy white head. Super English refreshing bitter taste. Hops pleasantly dry and a little earthy, some white pepper. Grains gently light bready. Very nice attenuation, crisp and dry and refreshing. lovely English hops in the finish. Pretty much perfect as a sessionable bitter.
