3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear darker brown with minimal off white head that turns into a thin ring around the glass pretty quickly. Aroma is rich maltiness, caramelized, toffee, a lot of dried dark fruits, and some alcohol. Flavour is caramel, high in sweetness, toffee, nutty, earthy, some alcohol and a mild bitterness from the hops. Tasty and quite sessional-able.

A barleywine…really? Bland boring and lifeless. However, it does have a decent nose of malt molasses and alcohol.Seriously undercarbonated

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle share. Clear amber/ruby. Nutty, black berry malt aroma. Like those black berry gelatin gummies that are shaped like berries. a smokey taste. A bit of smoked fish is there? Quite thin for a barley wine.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle to tulip. Nice dark amber colour, but practically no head whatsoever. Very nice aroma, reminds me a sweet Belgian; rich roasted malt, toffee, some nuttiness. Taste also reminiscent of good Belgian ale, with good sweetness, toffee and coffee notes, roasted nut and vanilla biscuit, some mild hoppiness to add some balance. This is excellent.

GBBF. Hazy amber beer. Good pale tan head. Light dry palate. Fresh lactose sweet malt. Traces of spicy bubblegum esters. Very mild citrus and red berry fruits. Finishes dry with a pinch of spice, but overall a sweet barleywine.

Pours a cloudy red with a white head. Smells of sweet caramel on the nose. Taste is a little sweet but very smooth could drink a few of these at a time.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Clear dark brown with a very small, short-lived light brown head. A sweet, malty, fruity nose. Very smooth, with a sweet start and a drier, hoppy finish. Hides the high alcohol behind complex and well balanced flavours. Excellent.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, pours a dark clear red ale with a thin white head. Thin maltish aroma. Taste: lots of malts, kind of beady, some caramel, with a moderate hop bitterness, notes of spruce. Very full-bodied, almost thick. Finishes with a woody bitterness. Pretty good...
